My worst nightmare today.
Justine Langer on ABC. Jeez. The guy can bat but pleeeze keep him away from a michrophone.
So I switched to pee-are for about 30 secs. During that time I heard grizzlezich insinuating that our membership figures are a crock. Something about the Electrol commisions's ballot numbers. He said seemed to be saying our real membership is about 19,000.
As soon as a commercial came on I killed the radio and hit the CD button.
I am curious though  Any body know more about rubbery membership figures ?

One thing I do know is that if they aren't forged Freo should take the bastard to court for defamation.

Had to laugh when JL was saying about Wussfold having a go at the Umps at 1/2 time in the Bombres game.
Said something must have been really wrong for him to react like that as it was way out of character. Lol.
Membership Nmbers are audited by the AFL I believe.
The published numbers seem to have a close correlation with the match attendances and seem to back up the clubs figures and not Georges.

Yeah I caught that bit.
How come if you have anything to do with sport its ok to never let the truth stand in the way of a good story. :)
Now JL has had a few knocks on the scone he'll be used an example of why cricketers should wear helmuts.

I've heared Grizzle Guts talk about our "false" mebership figures on other occasions.
Apparently the balance of our members are under 18 and too young to vote when we elect board members. Kim Hagdorn always points out that other clubs (including the Eagles) have junior members and also include them in their Membership figures. But somehow George always chooses to go to a commercial break when ever his veiws are challenged, and he did the same today.

The problem with George is that he thinks his opinion is a good story, and really, he can't tell the difference. I don't know about the rest of you but I think he is obsessed with Freo over some slight he received and just uses every scrap of evidence and radio time to bring the club down. He really has become an embarassment to himself and to 6PR as far as I'm concerned.

Is a "helmut" the Kiwi version?

And when people have multiple memberships, they only get one vote. I know harbour masters that have 4 memberships and just give them to their mates every year.
