View Full Version : The 'Sack Kevin Sheedy' Petition

Ok guys it is about time the old bugger got the sack. We need success, Essendon FC is so used to success and we demand it at every corner. Last season we finished 13th, I can live with that.

But I can not live with winnign a wooden spoon and getting belted by the likes of Port Adelaide at our home ground Telstra Dome.

Port is the worst club in teh afl quite easily and we are getting murdered by them. Enough Is Enough !

I have therefore created an online petition and all I ask is for you lovely essendon fans and teh rest of teh football lovers out there to sign it.

Essendon needs to move on, we need to make a chance while we still can, we do not need our lovely name to be dragged in the mud by Sheedy anymore.

Please sign the petition

http://www.petitiononline.com/162006/petition.html

Can someone please for god sake post this also in the MAIN AFL Forum Section ? I am unable to do so as I am banned from there :D

thankyou for your time

A few points.
1) We have only known continued success since Sheedy took over.
2) You've never had to live with a wooden spoon, unless your in your 90's
3) You display the Liverpool badge. Therefor you must know, great clubs like Liverpool and Essendon, never sack coaches. And don't give me that crap that we sacked Houllier.
4) Go barrack for Carlton.

So you are fine with losing ? I would have thought you would like continues success.

And yes we did sack Roy Evans & Gerard Houllier :D

Oh and he has been there for how long ? 25+ years. Time is right to go in my opinion. 25 years is more than enough time. We aint going to improve while SHeeds is still tehre, we need a new coach not recycled ideas that obviously worked 5 years ago and not now.

Yes I am embarrassed to be an Essendon FAN. 8 losses in a row. it will be 21 in a row come seasons end. We'll get thumped next week by Adelaide by 100 points

You are pathetic. Another nameless person setting up a petition. Take your petition to the doorstep of windy hill before training and ask every player and official if they will sign it. Ask the supporters at training. Don't hide behind a webpage. If you are brave enough do a real petition.

Losing is supporting Geelong, St. Kilda, Richmond, the Western Bulldogs. Teams that haven't won a flag in decades. We have won plenty.

Respect your opinion, just think your wrong.

Houllier left because he knew he didn't have the support. Liverpool don't sack managers. Sacked managers don't take over Lyon.

Why does Sheedy have the recruiting manager sitting on the bench each week( Adrian De Deoreo) ?
I would of thought his role would mean he goes and watches prospective recruits around Australia. bit odd I think !

you are a disgrace AaronM the man has led your club through the good and the bad and has always managed to get your team back on top. Kevin Sheedy is a living legend of the game and is a genius of the coaching game, and after one bad season your ready to do what all soft supporters would and blame the coach, forgetting that two of your best players aren't playing and your list isn't exactly the best in the league. A good coach is a dime a dozen, you have the best one in the AFL leading your club, you don't just wake up one day and forget how to coach, Sheeds has seen it all and done it all and shouldn't have to answer to idiotic supporters like yourself. Go support Fremantle if you want to get stuck into a shi-t coach!

Exactly. Forget the sack Sheedy petition. Sack Dodoro! Picking Shane Harvey ahead of Matt Maguire should have been the nail in the coffin. Lets stop paying him a fortune for him to pick garbage in the draft.

Aaron, Is this a joke. You arent even a member of Essendon and i very much doubt you have ever been. I remember you telling me a few years ago when Liverpool were going bad that you hate soccer and will no longer barrack for them. Take this back because you will make a fool out of yourself. You have always been somewhat of a bandwagon supporter anyway so why do you care.

Also what makes you think a new coach is going to make a difference, you simply havent got the cattle at the moment. Every side now a days is going to spend a few years downt he bottom every 6 or 7 years. You are going to have to get used to it or follow another sport.

not as embarrassed as your parents must be.

why don't you just switch clubs, as you're obviously a bandwagonner/tool of the highest order.

St Kilda are doing ok, the colours aren't so dissimilar.

supporters like you are everything that's bad about our great game.

very fair point actually.

mind you with Shevchenko coming to Chelsea, Liverpool are going to continue their irrelevance for yet another season.

Don't think he is going to be a huge success at Chel$ki. He is moody and not sure he is a good fit for them. We will continue to improve with the best manager in the world.

He sits on the bench every game, open your eyes.
They play football interstate you know. Oh thats why your on the bottom, you only pick up duds from Vic based clubs, lets see, campo, zantuck, Haynes, alvey etc etc:eek:

Yes i know they play footy outside Vic. Sean Wellman was handy, as was Micheal Long, Wanganeen from Port Adelaide was a O.K for us to. I think there is a player from Canberra on our list, James someone. Can't quiet remeber his last name. Monfries and Slattery look promising. Dempsey from Cairns looked to give a bit tonight. Ryder from Geraldton when he bulks up will be good for us. Will ruck well with that Tassie boy Laycock. Johns looks like he is from Margret River. McVeigh from N.S.W.

proved my point we play better when we play the better sides and when we play the sides we should beat we crumble, u boys want to sit here and go on about how sheedy has done this and done that well wake up pplz we're in the year 2006 now not what hes done in the past and to b brutally honest hes done f u c k all since 2001 as we have got worse every year since then, if u supporters can actually sit there and say u r actually happy and proud of whats going on down there have 2 seriously have a look at yourselves they were absolutely embarrassing tonight and have 2 have a very long hard look at themselves, as 4 all u sheedy barrackers well let me put a few factors to u from tonights game, paddy ryder in the ruck getting absolutely smashed in the middle whilst hille and laycock sit on the pine, monfries sitting on the bench for 3/4 of the game and having the most un-disciplined player in the league in dean solomon continuously giving stupid free kicks away, so if u so called loyal supporters can actually sit there and say the way we are playing at the moment is acceptable i suggest u remove the plank of wood from ya rectum and wake up to reality that we are pus and will b going nowhere in the near future especially when we r playing blokes like bolton, reynolds, winderlich who clearly ain't upto it and with fletcher nearing the end,the johnson boys past their best along with solly and hirdy who should retire there ain't to much to look forward to 2 tell ya the truth, so u boys point out a positive to me and i will shut my mouth but til then i will go on my spiel and say we are f u c k i n g useless and embarrassing at the moment

So it's Sheedy's fault that Fletcher is nearing the end of his carrer, the Johnson's are out of form, Lloyd is injured, Hird is injured, Solomon's not playing well. Come to think of it, it is Sheedy's fault!!!!!!!!!

So it's Sheedy's fault that Fletcher is nearing the end of his carrer, the Johnson's are out of form, Lloyd is injured, Hird is injured, Solomon's not playing well. Come to think of it, it is Sheedy's fault!!!!!!!!! well the buck stops with the coach doesn't it in every case and as 4 what i was saying with them players i wasn't bagging sheedy 4 it i was clearly stating that we don't have to much 2 look forward 2 with the points i made, i could easily name 10 blokes that we should get rid of as they r useless and will never get better
