Yeah that was probably a bit harsh but it really is a raffle at this time of year.... am starting to have my doubts about Albanvale.... have yet to see any recruits to them so I may be ever estimating them at the moment.

Yeah wouldn't hurt to talk a bit of football Karim.
Have you signed Winmar and if so I wouldn't count on him playing the full year. Also don't understand why a club would build a side around an unreliable 40 odd year old.
Who else have you signed that you can tell us about.
Is Alan Williams training enjoyable and is it harder than you are used to.
Tell us about the ridiculous privately run practice match you had vs Sydenham. Tell us why you would play a game with no insurance if a player did a knee or something worse. Also have Syndenham improved a lot because they have won something like 3 games in 3 years and you lost to them. Message given to Sydenham before the game was you had a fair side in and Williams wasn't happy at all after the game.

Hey Crazyhouse you twat
I've just had a certain Districts coach on the who called you a "weak dog" for not outing yourself - you're tearing the club apart you tool.
I spoke with this person for an hour and we both concluded that you are no way at all involved with the club in anyway.

Dont need to worry about Chickey & Innella. All they need is match fitness which they will get in the next couple of weeks.
No doubt it was Webbie who was not breaking a sweat. Is very fit. Ziggy & a few of the boys had a strong session and looking forward to a hard hitout on Sunday at Bunniyong.

Well he won a b&f there a couple of years ago and was best ruckman in the comp easily, he would of hit the ball to me hundreds of times....
And tell ya he's better than Kehagius, although when he went back last season he didnt get much of a go in the ruck...........apparently smashing the ball out of the ruck rates more than putting it on someones chest in the centre square......
Oh, and if ya still think he's ********e ask skippy how he rates him
But hey, we got rid of huffy so it might be ok this season!
Interesting info....

tony tony tony where do u hear these stupid things mate, we had a fair side in? geez we had 8 senior players in the side the rest were under 18s and 3 under 16s players..aand will seemed pretty pleased with us after the game, dont know where u get ur info from champ...aparently that was there fullside... there was nuffing wrong with the game we needed a hit out and so did sydenham and there was no other ground to play on so yeah... thanfully no1 was hurt. anyways got another pracy this saterday against weerabie amatures, we will b fielding a stronger side so should b a good hit out...
not sure whats going on with niki winmar champ ive only seen him down at the club once but "aparently" should b trainging b4 round 1, and as for us building a team around him i dont think so, pretty hard to build a team around some1 thats not at the club yet hehehe switch on tony :)
as for training will makes us work very hard and the team looks a lot fitter then years gone by
got a few new faces at the club 1 aparently played last year but i never got to see him play coz i was overseas but very big boy, and from what ive heard he goes alright his name simon hislop, another guy named mossie is from glenordon couldnt tell u his actuall name have no idea but he looks pretty handy as well.. got a few past players returning including mark micallef who is a gun, won a comp b&f in his juinior days can play footy, also jared charter and simon vellof have trained and most likely will play as well..

Wasn't having a go just what I heard via Sydenham. Need to prompt you and ask you because you give nothing otherwise.
Alls well that ends well with no major injuries. Still a stupid decision lacking common sense to play. If someone was seriously injured and missed 6 months work or had a hospital bill in the thousands you would have been having lots of fund raisers to pay for them. The reason every other side in every comp are not meeting at grounds and having 'rebel' matches is becasue it's stupid.
May I suggest if you have paid out Winmars fee from the country club and are paying him whatever per game (would be a fair bit) then you are putting a lot of energy/time/money into him whether he is around or not.
Micallef should fit right back in I should imagine like a glove.

Heights have Sydenham this week only problem is no ground but still trying. Will keep you posted if we get one.
Saw a few West players at Praccy last week MJ, Saliba. Innella was going to watch apparently but wanted extra pay if he had to watch the opposition. Still wondering how he is going to get through the year with one week suspension hanging over his head til he is de registered. Also heard Laney was going to come but it was pensioner weekend at the movies so he went there.
Have Glenroy the week after at home. Don't you have a game this week, what about next.

Chris and Daniel are still eligible for the u/18's this year. Daniel may play ones - still to be decided or whether he will stick with the u/18's or not.
Chris could play ones (diesel williams clone) but not sure whether has the desire to step up at this stage.
We hopefully have added depth this year, so if under 18 guys want to play ones they have to commit...not just play a game or two and then decide to go back to their mates...

the **** on this website believe it or not has had a huge effect on the club that i worked my ass off for over the past 4 years with huffy living and breathing it all year round. Coburg Districts deserves more than that. more importantly the workhorses behind the scenes Cat, Steve Kennedy shouldnt have to be chasing up people before a season has started becuase your hiding behind a computer.

Another coincidence Crazyhouse is on the system at the same time AGAIN.
Your busted 'fella', time to come clean.
Must also be coincidence that you are both Hawthorn supporters and post on Hawthorn topics and you both post in the EDFL, Div 2 site and Kyabrum league, both continue to refer to hadfield as haddy, both played for the same teams, both know lots about Avenel and promote them for this season, both use '.....' in 3/4 of your posts, both use multiple ???? at times, both use the word fella etc etc etc . Shall I continue.
How are you feeling fella never being able to go to your old football club for a drink because you are a dill.

Very minor scuffle with 2 minutes to go in the last QTR. Was right in front of the Westbourne bench so common sense prevailed and the siren (bell) was rang to end the game..... everyone shook hands and 20 - 30 of the heights guys went down the road back to the Westbourne rooms for a drink (TAKE NOTE DEER PARK!!!).
All in all the scuffle was a non event

Push and shove started with about 2 minutes to go in the game so the umpire did a good job and stopped the game.
I had seriously forgotton about that. Not even 100% if the game had time left but it seemed a touch short.

Nothing in it, no punches thrown, just a bit of push and shove. That's the third time we've played Heights in practice matches in recent years and all have been played in good spirit. Really appreciated the Heights boys driving down the road to our clubrooms to have a beer after the game.
I know practice match form can't always be a true measure but we drew with Glenorden last year at home and beat them the year before away and Heights beat us by ten scoring shots this time around. I thought they were probably a better all round team than Glenorden but didn't have the big targets at CHF and FF that Glenorden had.
Anyway, good luck to the Heights this year. It would be great to see an amateur team win the flag in a suburban comp.

mmm...interesting Old Warrior. I think after all our debating over the hot summer months that Heights are now closing in (on West) on favourtism for the flag... Did Nick Mallia play? left footer...No.18 I think...Grumpy, talented player who sledges the opposition and whinges at the umpires...

Unit when was the last time you went past Soldiers? The ground is in magnificent shape and is probably the best surface in Werribee.

Not the report I got.... heard that you guys looked ordinary... and aprt from 3 or 4 players u aren't much chop!!
Must mention though that was also told u played well... taking a few gutsy marks across half back... which goes against TD's claim the u are a soft.

Played some pretty good footy, don't worry about us champ blah blah blah
Thanks for the detailed report on the game. Very interesting to see who played well, how new players went, scores, good signs, bad signs etc. Hope you didn't spend too much time and energy providing big footy with something interesting to read.
Seriously if you don't want to share anything of any intererest except your short replies to others comments why don't you just not get on at all. Watching the grass grow is more interesting than reading your posts 'champ'.
Does anyone know the result of West Footscray's practise match, did MJ, Ziggy, Innela and cam play? how did they go?

I was at the game on Saturday and can tell you that Werribee dominated the contest and the 13 goal margin was flattering for Albanvale. The tiges had 5 key players out and were always in control. Cobra's could not keep up with the hard running of Werribee and struggled to hit targets under pressure or even without. However they did have some good players including no 11, and there CHF who tried hard all day and will be dangerous if he can get the supply. Pretty tough side but Backline is suspect, Werribee's FF didnt play and they had a guy that was 5'5 playing there. Game played in great spirit. For those interested the cobra's 2's got beat by bout 15 goals.

Played @ Dunnstown on a ground that would match the MCG in grass cover. Sensational surface and even soft under foot for most of day.
2's played what started as a 16 a side game due to lack of numbers from both sides. Evenly posied game until last quater when a couple of the boys went down with injuries and Bunniyong kicked a few easy ones. Bunniyong by about 5 goals.
In the Seniors we were without Laney, Ziggy, Webbie and a few others.
Was a good game but very scrappy. Disposal lacked as expected at this time of year. No team really got on top of each other in the first half. Bunniyong's midfield were very good and were the difference in my opinion. Great to see quite a few of the younger West boys stepping up and playing tough skillful footy. Bunniyong by 4 goals. All guys had a good crack and will be better for it come next Saturday when we have take 2 against Westbourne.
Saliba, Innella and MJ were good with MJ & Innella both on the scoreboard.
No signifficant injuries came out of game either but I am sure there are a few guys throwing sickies today from being very sore.

i was at the albanvale game at the weekend, saw the first half only. albanvale did look very ordinary but there were patches in the 2nd quarter kicking against the wind where albanvale moved it well.
Karim u were having a bit of a dip u did a couple of nice things 1% and looked good coming off half back. however i would struggle to c how ur defence could match up against the boys from wests/deer park/ sunshine heights. u could find yourself having to match up on the likes of mallia, greto, chickey etc.
also the CHF bannet mentioned was probably bassey number 47 last year who played 2s all year, though he did present well. i would hope albanvale r still hiding a few recruits as they did not look like they have improved 1 iota since last year, with the 1s filled with at least 10 under 20's and 2s players from last year.
there was 1 positive from albanvale they have replaced mick azza with a new oiled up muscle bound pretty boy. the new ruckman i think number 35 was running around with his chest puffed out, trying to get a kick. not a bad tap ruckman but i didnt c him get many posessions in the first half.

hey blueboy how did Bobby Evans go?
how r u guys going 4 numbers cos u had about 15 miss out on a game last year, and u have picked up what looks like another 10-15 players this year. have players retired/left the club or no longer playing? how r u managing the xtra numbers come the real stuff?
i understand being short on the weekend means nothing, as u always have a few out with a big road trip.

Bobby played ok, have to remember he has been out for 18 months and had ankle surgery in the pre-season. Will get better with every game but from what I saw will no doubt dominate Div 2 later in the season.
Numbers are good typewriter. You always get blokes turning up once they here a praccy match is on. Every club always have blokes retire/leave but we have them more than covered.
Access to a ground is a major problem we are having at this stage. We trained on a soccer pitch that resembled a beach on Thursday Nite for an hour and had guys bitten by sandflies which made there legs blow up close to double the size. We are just not getting enough time with the footy's in the hands. You can do as much running as you want and be fit but now is the time to start refining skills with the ball.
Most clubs have the rule "NO TRAIN NO PLAY" dont they?. That will be a luxury we will have this season I think
typewriter
26 Mar 2007, 11:57
yeah but i think all clubs r in the same boat this preseason with no grounds 2 train on so the skills in the first few weeks may not be as good as in other seasons. everybody is probably doing more running as the grounds r not right 4 ball work so it will be interesting to see how the legs will hold up during the 2nd half of the season.
Moxy .... How did Coburg go in their praccy?
Hi GBF50, It was a good hit out down a Pitcher Park in trying conditions, we ended up playing a 6 quarter match with not alot of boys to rotate ment alot of guys ended up playing 5-6 quarters.
We moved the ball well in patches and should have made the most of the wind but I think in the 4th quarter we kicked 5 straight points. We focused on hitting our leading forwards and to just try a few things that we have been working on at training.
It was good to finally have a hit out with my new team and just to get to know each others style of play.
With a couple more praccy's we should be firing for round 1.

we still had a few key players out who i cant mention coz they havnt been cleared yet, bassi played pretty good, our chf went off in the 2nd q coz he rolled his ankel after that we just fell away across half foward.. our back lil wasnt full strength as u could tell had a few kids playing there.. as for me getting a gig on greto or malia ide b more then happy to play on them but with a full strength side i dont think i will b needed... new ruckman is simon hislop first time ive seen him play his a great tap ruckman, and from what i have heard can go alrite at ff...
ill say this again and again we will finish top 2.......

for starters mate the new players r extremly welcome at our club, the only reason i could think of 4 some1 not wanting the new players is because they may be scared of not getting as much game time as per normal i can assure u the general consensus is that they r very welcome i dont no wher u got that from.
lets be honest Jas if u had 2 play on greto or mallia then they would kick at least 10

Don't get personal out rider. Just keep running around the flanks. 18 Karims on the field = a loss. No influence on a game so your top 2 confidence must stem from others ability. Don't think you would want me to get personal with info I have on you.

Don't believe your crap champ. Perhaps not all performed on the day but all are rated highly.
One was best on ground and another 3 were in the top 8. Unfortunately they couldn't all be in the best players on the day. I can assure you once again we are rapt with all our new players and believe me they can all play.
Now tell us about your new Ruckman who I am told was oiled up from head to toe like a tool, puffed the chest out and strutted around like peacock. Only trouble was besides being a good tap didn't get a kick.

Nazza didn't play. Hope to see him in action this week. Very good defender does all the right things and sticks tight. Others have said he is undisciplined but I think he is very disciplined with a lot of spirit. He is also a good bloke. Where is he a mate from. I might have to be nice to you as people who are good blokes are mates with you so you must be alright. lol. Hope to also have Westo and Adrain Pante into the side this week.

McGrath kicked 5 or 6 on debut for Richmond about 5 years ago late in the season. Funny enough he was delisted without much fuss. Must have been a discipline problem.
