i understand ya mite not have liked the post boys but was just posting what i seen when i was down there, didnt mean to single out the ex altona players as it was prob a few of the blokes that have played there awhile!! all i was saying that for a club that has had ment to have had 2 send offs in a season they played undisicplain with 2 in a praccy befor the seasons started. like i said hope you boys prove me wrong and come out and have a good season with little reports!

report on todays game boys, north played tulla and lost buy 15 goals we didnt look like much at all we had 5 or 6 out but was no excuse we looked very average! 1 of the guys from seamore did play well out of the center but was hard for the center man as our ruckman didnt win a tap! tulla did look well so it will be intresting to see how we go bring on the season hay only time will tell

Yeah the Devils were dismal today. Have got some key players to return for round 1, but I thought we would have got some more out of our young blokes today. We had four under 18's playing and a couple of them did some nice things. I am feeling a little low, but I guess that is footy!

Both have had gigs at the club in the past, Willy the most recent albeit 10 years ago. Damien played most of he's juinor footy there winning a comp and club b&f. He will give you the much needed target in front of goals. Not sure what impact Alan will have, was an absolute gun in his prime, hope he doesn't bite of more than he can chew in regards to being usefull both on and off the feild. If Charter is also playing things may be on the improve at cobra land?

The roosters looked terrible and had some blokes play both 2nd and 1st;s
being an ex west footscray old boy can any one tell me about the club this year? I couldn;t see BONES MCGHIE is he still coaching.

Your on the money there pal..... But we were never a chance to win with 16 senior players calling on the morning of the game to pull out due to varied circumstances. 4 senior blokes played a half of the 2's and 10 reserves doubled up to play between 6-8 quaters. Was a good testing run for the guys who attended but I have no doubt we would of won looking purely on the first half before we ran out of legs and players.

Not sure how you can say you'd beat OW if you had half your spine back when you were beaten in every area of the game. The FF did look dangerous before he went off but you cant really predict he would have dominated the rest of the game.

OW still had 6 walk up starters out of their senior side too.

As for the reports/cards, wasn't much in them and don't think the umpires were to concerned about it after the game.

The middle of the pack comment has nothing to do with fighting it has to do with West Footscray not going in for the hard ball that comes from within also.

The trouble maker comment was clearly directed to Grant being Grant Spencer who is Blueboy but thanks for answering it al/blue boy.

I'm not going to buy into the who was out and all that crap on the weekend. In short the performance of West against OW was not up to scratch and significant improvement is required for West to be competitive, let alone one of the favourites.

On another note TD (I'm not dyslexic like Al), went back for a beer to OW rooms, what a fantastic set up that is. Pity they won't play there this year due to the ground. With a set up like that, I could be enticed into retirement so as to watch from above drinking beers all day.

There is a little bit of history there Karim and I did the same to find out al smith as everybody tries to find out who I am. I just did it by looking not asking. So your a tosser also because you try and find out who I am,only difference is you never will.

If I recall also my comment was at least my club is known when I post not my name.

Lastly if you have come in the top 3 in the best and fairest 7 times and captained then you might be able to start bagging me. I am tipping though having seen you play that you haven't.

Anyway back to football Alan Williams would be nearing 40 now, and I am told was good in his day which was a while ago. Still I imagine would be a handy forward pocket as the 4th or 5th best forward. Should be suited to Albanvales style of play.

I appreciate your aim to find out who I am. The same speculation keeps coming up who I am and as no one has come close before I am very confidant no one ever will. The funny part about the speculation is me and Bomber are very much different type of people so continue if you wish but you are wasting your time.

Anyway any chance of talking some football. Did you play on the weekend,what position do you play and how did you go. Did Laney play. Played on him many times years ago he is very opportunistic. Who coached the side if Bones was not there.

TD I thought they were the same a few days ago. If not they are both d... heads and seem to start crap and really give me the s h i t s. You also carry on a bit but at least you talk football most times and make the site interesting.

I am new to the state and the wrfl and have sussed out mainly on here the threats, standard of division 2 etc. Is there any talk about Nth Sunshine and Braybrook. They were down last year so I wondered if they have picked up any new players.

Hey Karim, Bomber told me that a player told him tonight that you asked him who TD was and the player was asking him if it was him. Why are you trying to find out when you never will. Actually Bomber and one other are the only ones who know but I trust 100 % they will never let on. I had to tell Bomber because someone was asking him every night if it was him to which he usually laughs and I do also but to myself. So perhaps give up now it's a losing battle.

How was Albanvales training tonight numbers wise. Are any of those that typewriter mentioned shown up. Does Williams do the training.

Typewriter or goes bang just found out I may miss the first 2 or 3 weeks away with work. If so I hope you will keep me updated on big footy of the goings on at the club and with games.

Laney didn't play - something about getting his wheelchair serviced. He trained last night so will be right for round 1. Paul Smith, one of the Assistants coached on Saturday with a little input from others.

Aiden McNally didn't play after round 14 last year, which included the finals. Baines was reasonable without being exceptional. I think he was very surprised to be in the team of the year in a back pocket considering he never played their! Barna missed a large slice of last year while at the World Cup. His absence in the PF through injury really upset our balance, but I don't think it would have made the difference against Glenorden. Obviously all players are a loss, but we think we have covered them with our recruits.

Saturday's attendance is a worry. We'll address it internally and move on. To be honest, I don't think you will see the best of West Footscray until the 2nd half of the season. Round 9 or 10 should have us cherry ripe!:)

Wrong again. The only two people who know I was with from 6pm til 1.30 am at a function we had and I am sure you were not there. I have been hearing about west footscray. Have watched them with an interest since Bones McGhie took over. He unfortunately is their biggest problem!!!!!!!!!

Now l hear he has gone on holidays and paul Smith coached the seniors. Give me a break. Are they serious???? Smitty is everyone's mate but unfortunately doesn't have the respect of the players cos he drinks 2 much grog with them. As for Bones, don't let anyone tell you he's doing it for West he's doing it 4 one person - Bones, always has always will. He gives them no direction, just ra ra ra's. tell blokes to get a kick your meant to be a superstar (last years PF against Glen Orden). It's just shockin to listen to.

Aidan McNally left last year cos him and Bones had a stoush which either become physical or was very close to becoming physical. As for Laney, a flat track bully - kicks all his goal against ordinary teams.

Evans, Inella, Saliba, Kadour will all be handy but what will west do if they win Division 2, come upto Div 1 with a bunch of old fat blokes who have all had more clubs than my golf set out the back. Facilities are not fit for div 2 let alone div 1. Maybe West should stop paying old blokes and put some finance into their facilities.

And if they cant beat Old Westbourne, do we need to say much more???

At last some sense. Yes no one will ever know who TD is. If someone gets it right then I guarantee I will come clean.

As for first round I would probably suggest Heights Vs Wyndhamvale. Both teams were finalists lat year with some pick ups.

Heights could have anything from 8 to 10 new players in round one. These players have addressed some gaps namely the ruck, a couple of good defenders, a couple of good forwards and midfielders. Probably similar to West the best of Heights won't be seen until a few games in til players get used to each other etc.

Yes mate, thought you were on bigcricket too. Just a spectator these days, dont follow a particular team. Tend to pick local games either at north footscray, west footscray , Yarraville and spotty, probably go see a couple of west games this season as got a few cricket mates who play there. Put me down for the tipping comp if it gets off the ground.
