They owe the council money
Anyone no why gladstone park didnt play yesterday?
results deer park by about 160
albanvale by 240 over the mighty power hahahaha
heights by 50 over wyndamvale
west and gladdy no play?????
nth sunshine come over the top of braybrook by 3 points
nth footscray beat coburg by 13 points
and the lavo ground no better than deer parks the only thing was that our council closed ours and not theres whats going on there?????
td spot on the money again................
My mate who plays for lavo told me the ground sucked to play on, multiple blood rules due to the hardness, the deer park players did say it was better than thiers, but yeah pretty poor. Better playing footy on it than not though.
Laverton's firsts were not full strength (not that it'll make a difference), he agrees with what you say, i dont think they won a centre clearance. Need a ruckman and some big bodied mid fielders.
Umpires were no much chop both ways in his opinion.
Mind you, they did run out of pies and only had sausage rolls. Fess up weapons, how much did you eat?
Was at the game at Heights yesterday. Sunshine Heights looked very impressive and are definatly going to be a major player this year. Falcon boys were a little dissapointed and expected a better showing but are still confident of a turn around in round 2 and the feeling is the club can still make a big impact in '07. Stayed around for a beer, the club is good like that, very supportive as we are all in the same boat and its good to be mates and support each other. Look forward to seen the Heights boys down at Honor Avenue next time!

watched the heights game they are a bit soft
Felt it was won at half time. Mathematically no but had a five goal lead which should have been 8 or 9 with no thanks to the overweight, slow, unfit whistle happy men in white.
The two are cousins and are both great kids. Very professional and gutsy players. Munns very smooth and composed a bit of a general out there. Both Caruana's good, Greto, Mallia, Weston, Hoblos, Demetrious, Farnfield, Madaroski, Dean. They are all the players you would give a 7 plus game out of 10. Only 4 or 5 players had quiet ones really.
They have a few weaknesses but none I would share with Deer Park as much as I love you weapons lol. Would rather Wyndhamvale beat Deer Park. They are quite a good side and put some good passages of play together. We are just a lot better. They should also have Cook cleared if Yarraville do the right thing and clear him and let him play with his brother.

Solid win by the devils today against districts. Both sides had a real crack but don't think either were top 4 material. The devils still have 3 or 4 to come back in, but Coburg may have won if the game was played at Cumberland Road. Devils won the reserves by about 170 points so not much depth at Coburg! Reserves were absolutely pathetic.
devil it was a tough game but coburg should have won in the end just run out of players no bench 2 blokes playing that couldnt move in the lst qrt so it was going to be telling in the end i guess we will gt our chance to knock u guys off next time around we still have about 6-7 senior players to come back into the side so the 1's will get stronger, u guys are a very young side compared to last year how did you play if u did devil, ur ground was bloody hard

Hammertigers, dont think you can sit here and say that Coburg should have got up!! You guys had your chances in the third qrt to put us away but failed to do so.
We played a whole 2nd qrt pretty much with two players off the ground due to their undiscipline acts and missed about 3 or 4 shots at goal right in front of goals within 30 metres. We too have about 4-5 senior players to come back into the side and played two players yesterday that have never played a senior game before. I put yesterdays win down to our fitness being at a higher level than Coburgs..... you guys where dropping like 10 pins in the last qrt due to cramp.... so maybe you fellas should have put a bit more in during pre season.
And just one more thing pal.... dont go bagging our ground for being too hard.... Wasnt it your ground that we couldnt play on????? Dont go throwing stones!!!!

Not sure what game you watched bigton. Sunshine heights were far from soft. I was actually surprised how hard they went in for the ball on such a hard ground. I saw a couple of players over and over run with the flight of the ball and put their bodies on the line. One was number 6 and the other was a guy in the backline. Both sides were hard at the ball but Sunshine won more of the hard ball.
w weapons tell me a bit about Deer Park. I am watching them vs Wyndhamvale next week as it looks like the best game. Are you tall, quick, hard, direct type of side. From watching Wyndhamvale yesterday I think Deer Park wont have it all their own way. Should be a good spectacle.

Tell you what TD, I was at the game on Saturday and what were you thinking picking Fasil in the 1's. The bloke is a disgrace. He constantly demanded the ball and when they didn't kick to him he sooked up and went found a free kick to give away to take his frustrations out. When you took him off you looked a much better forward line.
Thought you may of run out of legs mid-way through the third when they put through 4 in a row but your better players stopped bombing it and chasing kicks to get a couple back late. Last quater very scrappy and some poor umpiring.
Just looking from the outside in you may have problems with better sides due to your fringe players always looking for your guns. Man them up and they may not have the decision making skills to win in the pressure situations.
Mate faisal will put you in his left pocket, has the best mark in the competition. he might not had a great game but it will come. Gaurantee he will kick over 50 goals this season

So did the best mark in the comp take one on Saturday? I didn't see it. I would hope he has a better game next week. Plus you would wanna hope that your FF would come close to kicking 50 goals in a side that will play deep in the finals. Otherwise it would be a waste and better off playing a kid.

I thought 21 & 23 for the vale were good and the kid in the forward line who played in front and reaped the rewards.
Pretty obvious for SH 18, 7 and my memory has lost me on the others but I can see they are good players. If I was TD I would be a little worried about the fringe players because really if you play a side that is tight on 18, 7 etc they will struggle under pressure. Time and Time again it was either 1 or 2 of the good players getting the hard ball and making right choices with the ball. Others just bombed and hoped for a big mark up forward.
Ground was a disgrace too. I bet there are a shitload of sore bodies today.

Hot Dogs in Bread... not sure about that one... but I heard Weapons stopped in for 10 minutes on his way to the Deer Park game and cleaned out the canteen..
Fair enough about manning up 18 and 7... but there are not many quick enough for Caruana (7) and even if you stay tight on Mallia (18) good luck beating him one on one.

This bloke was very unaccountable. I didn't see him man up at all in the 2nd half. I realise he is a mid-fielder but some accountability would of been nice to see some of his defensive skills.

Not sure what the go is with Sheppa, but i can confirm that he was watching Nth Foots -v- Coburg on Saturday. Its fair to say that he was Gladdys best player and last year was kicking 70% of their score each week. He is a massive loss to Gladdy and cant see them winning many games this year should they even play any.
I can see a bye coming up this season.... can anyone else???????

I hope the League come to their senses and award us the 4 points for the no game on Saturday. Gladdy should be thrown out now.
West trained on Parkside's ground Saturday morning and was sensational to run on a surface with green grass and be so spongy under foot. Also great to have a few pot shots at a set of sticks.

I'm no superstar Karim, I just play footy for something to do on a weekend. After seeing most of the blokes that play 1's in this league most cant talk about how great they are. I've come from a standard of footy where 3-4 reserves sides would give your side a run for it's money.

Dont go throwing stones!!!!
dekka bit jumpy there mate if u would have read the thread u would have noticed i said ur ground was bloody hard , know in my terms i would not say i was rubbishing ur ground unless im from another planet and even the guy i was on mentioned that 2,wouldnt say u played a whole 2nd qrt with 2 short more like 15minutes but come to think of it u guys had 20 on the field all day anyway so with the 2 sent off brought it back to 18 a side i guess round 12will see

Hammer, can you come up with any more reasons why you guys got done....
I thought the umpires where terrible for both side.
Lets face it, it was a close game all day and we just had younger legs and ran over the top of you towards the end.
It seem that both side where not at full strength and come round 12 i am sure the game will be played at a different pace and filled with more experienced players.
Anyway, North are not looking forward to round 12 as we take our games a week at a time. You can go on trying to get games back that you lost, but we got the 4 points that we were after and we have moved on..... we have a game this week to worry about now.

Darren, all-eyes is correct, a lot of these better under 18 playes are all encouraged to play senior footy (not 2's) and many times it the young blokes that knock the senior coach back. Its great to see these players coming up from the 18 and slotting straight into the 1's. Brownie was probably in our top 4 or 5 players and should consider staying in the ones all year if he want to improve his footy long term.

I agree Darren but you can't force them to play. There is another 3 or 4 in the under 18's who would be close to being in our best side.

boys was just looking at the fixture and with gladdy park folding there will be a bye which i dont think will be a good thing for the comp although a bye would help teams re-couporate a little with the hard grounds..........
i think get rid of brunswick cause they will never be good (except the guy with the blunnies lol) and make it like the first division, 10 team comp with a top 5 for finals...........that would make it interesting come september.......

MRI scans later on the week will determine how long he is out best case sceanraio 8weeks worst case well we know what that means.. I feel a little bad i had a bet with the boy just about a week earlier that he wont play 10 games this year ..

That is not great news at all. Never like to see a mate go down with a serious knee injury. Hopefully I'll get to catch up with him.
Do you know if it was a ground hardness issue or just an accident?
Are you going to collect on the bet or let it slide pal? hahaha

a bet is a bet so yes i will collect.... his injury he tells me wasnt anything to do with the ground conditions, but its funny you say that while sitting in the sunshine hospital , the doctor told him that he was the 42 football related injury for that say 90percent of those being knee injuries.. Thats a huge figure which must give some credence to the fact that most grounds arent up to standard

I'd be contacting a nice expensive solicitor and possibily looking into legal action on the WRFL. It was going to happen sooner or later and the League does have a duty of care which no doubt has been breached by letting the season start. I'd be happy to sign a disclaimer to play if the league wanted me to though. I just want to play. May also have a legal stand against the club who signed off the ground at the start of the match saying that the ground was suitable for play.

Yeah, fair call Bluey. I recon if the league made it official that a disclaimer had to be signed most players would sign it. I'd rather be playing then sitting out for three weeks looking up at the sky waiting for rain..........mind you, i'd rather be playing than sitting out for 12 months with a bung knee as well.

Oh Karim your spelling is really bad. I know it's not a spelling test but how about cutting and pasting your posts into WORD and hitting F7 for the spell check just to double check.
Just a suggestion pal.
Firstly those who correct peoples spelling or grammar on a forum like this show no class. Who do you think you are Mr.intelligent. Probably shows a bit of insecurity to be honest.
Rick Munn played great and no one at Heights gets paid.
Yes stop Mallia and N. Caruana will help. Then you might as has been mentioned stop Greto, M. Caruana, Munn, Weston, S. Nicholaides, Farnfield, Pante, M. Nicholaides etc, etc.
Faisel will get better and fitter week by week and will kick many goals. He has done more in his career than you could ever dream of. Yes he had a quiet game but all at Heights are confidant of him having a good year.
No you didn't say Heights were soft bigton did but bigton is a smart a.... from West and fair chance it is you also. Hows al smith going. Learn't your lesson about posting close together.
Yes a couple of the reserves sides where you last played at hill billy city might beat a couple of senior sides in div 2 (MIGHT) but you are still fat and will play reserves wherever you are.
You are a f....... smart a r s e who gives everyone on big footy the s h i t s so why dont you either f........ off or pull your head in and talk footy. Show a bit of decency and class as your friend Gemini does. I say friend but he probably puts up with you because he has to. You have been described to me as a tool. Not my words but one of your teammates. So your trouble maker tag is following you very closely.
Anyone else feel free to back me up about blueboy, enough is enough. I know 3 people who don't get on anymore because of the utter crap and bull s h i t blueboy persists with.

Oh TD....
Faisel is fatter than me and will not kick more than 50 goals this season. There are many quality footballers out there that have done more than me. It's not something that worries me.
Munn I will put my left nut on is being paid as are about 6 other blokes in that senior side I saw on the weekend.
As for Al Smith you will have to ask him yourself. It's not me and either am i bigton. Who ever said Gemini is a friend of mine? I hardly know the bloke.
As for being a TOOL Im not fussed. Im on here for a laugh and your just falling into my trap. Keep up the great work. :thumbsu:
If you seriously have an issue with it pal see you in a few weeks and say it to my face. 3 people no longer get on because of my comments? I dont believe that pal because almost all said on here is ***crap. You proved it with your above post about no-one being paid at Heights.

As for Heights players getting paid thats absolute crap... the only player payments made in the last 10 years were paid when Gilly coached and arranged a few "dodgy characters" to pay 2 or 3 blokes direct... club had nothing to do with it..

I can assure you clown that I get on with everyone on the div 2 site. Most on here know I mainly post sensible posts about football. Interested to see in the next day or so how many people post what they think of you little man. Yes thats what you are a little man. Need to stir trouble and carry on with your rubbish because in your real life you are a NOTHING. A fat reserves player with a boring job. Thats probably why you try and live off your dad being a policeman for a whole 23 years. Like thats something to be proud of.
