Hi guys i dont mean to offend in anyway, but i am just wondering as to why your club is struggling at the minute? Is this a fair comment? from my perspective in melbourne it is! You havent played much finals footy and one would think that in that time you would be rebuilding and planning for premierships. This seems unlikely imo. Do you see yourselves winning a premiership anytime soon? I think that you will struggle behind the likes of west coast, Bulldogs, Cats, PIes, Hawks at the moment.

Is it bad recruiting, bad coaching or the fact you let Mcphee, CLement, holland go?

5-4 after 9 and the only team to beat West Coast this year. Yeah we are struggling

I think if you asked most after 6 games they would have had freo at 2-4 after a terrible draw that we had which included 2 trips to Tasmania and 1 to Adelaide. (Collingwood don't understand how taxing travelling is considering it is only done once a year)

Personally I would rather be in Geelong's position

Bring Sandilands, McPharlin, Farmer, Haddrill, Headland back into the side and things look much better.

Headland is the player this club has missed the most in the last few weeks :(

Sh*t coach.

Don't hide your head on the sand CameronK, we have a soft gameplan which encourages soft footy. Soft footy gets exposed against decent sides.

Here we go again, When the team wins it's a great job by the players when they play like crap blame the coach.

On our centre breaks... what incentive do we have to win the ball out of the middle and get it into our forward line quickly if we are always dropping a man back.

fair enough, but do these inclusions mean that you will be contending for a premiership?

west coast, adelaide, port, Brisbane and sydney all of which have won premierships or at least contended in one have had to travel. how do you explain that?

I think you guys have a good list of players, but i dont know if you will be able to have a crack in the finals unless there are some serious changes. Dunno what it is... as some of teh other posters said, perhaps its your coach. Perhaps you should take a lesson from the pies. We like you guys have quality talls, and they benefit most from quick entry into the forward 50!

Injuries can make a big difference. I seem to recall a game last year at Subi where Freo beat a certain undermanned team by 112 points.

Because the issue is the mental attitude of the playing group, and the complete and utter failure of the gameplan. That is the responsibility of the coaching staff, and after 5 years, there is no sign that the massive deficiency of playing soft, loose footy is getting better.

But FWIW, we need a cleanout of the playing group as well. Not completely rip apart the list, but there's no point having 31 year olds out there who are barely contributing.
