Since he was cowardly struck down by apparently low flying aircraft in the derby we have been absolutely smashed in the ruck/clearances. We are a vastly inferior side without him. And again today his absence was massively exposed.

Does he return before the break ??

What a load of crap. We were flogged in the clearances even when he was in the side!

Not as badly as we have been smashed without him.

Difference is that we generally get a number of clean clearances when he plays.

When he is patroling the backline it forces the opposition to go around him.

When he goes forward He imediately attracts a crowd taking the pressure off the other forwards.

The othe rplayers seem to gain confidence with him being out there.

There is no doubt we miss him.

I thought when he got injured it wouldn't hurt us - but it has, big time. We get absolutely belted in the hitouts and the opposition ruckmen have been murdering us. Polak is just not a ruckman, and it takes away from him playing somewhere he would be better suited. It wouldn't be so bad if Longmuiir wasn't injured, but we definitely need Sandilands back.

funny thing is that we actually won centre clearances today against the lions, 40 to 34, problem is getting it into the 50 cleanly, not clearances.

Only numbers. We need a stat for clean clearances like Brisbane had when they bunged on three or four in a row straight from the centre bounce.

Precisely what I said. getting it into the 50 cleanly.

I actually think that is not our own clearances that Sandi helps with but is preventing the other team from getting an effective clearance.

He always taps the ball near one of our players. Therefore the opposition never get the ball in space.

I propose our spine look like this by the midseason break

POLAK
PAVLICH
SANDILANDS
MCPHARLIN
HADRILL

these are all strong proven KPP's. Throw, Grover, Longmuir, Parker and Murphy in around them and we have a strong big man division.

Cowardly struck down, you've got to be kidding me. Someone of 128kg should be able to take anything.

Tell me, how much of that 128kg does a jaw take up? And how much force is behind an elbow from someone who weighs 100kg?

Maybe 211 can spend some of his time away from the club working on his coordination after his poor effort in trying to rough up the innocent young Seaby

This might have the added bonus of improving his ruckwork and general around the ground skills as well ;)

I saw the incident between Sandi & Seaby and what started off as a show of strength ended up with a cheap shot elbow. The club handled this very professionaly and did not seek retribution (Whinge) to the AFL like the Eagles did after playing Essendon. Seaby will get his own back in due course.

You and apparently another 30,000 or so Dockers supporters ;)

Amazingly most of them at my work also saw it

Yet amazingly when watching the replay none booed at the time.

BTW, Chance of 911 being back this week

Gee, he's bigger than I thought!

Or is 911 his nickname since being struck by low-flying aircraft.

But did they have Foxtel IQ at the ground?

If not, then for the 30 000 there was no replay to boo at.
I saw it on free to air and they missed the incident entirely. Commentators did not seem to know what had happened to him.
