Does anyone know will the vote count be publicised anywhere. My young bloke wants to see how many votes he polled in the 3rds.

I agree, Bridgey missed some really easy goals from almost point blank range which can cost when it comes down to a 19 point margin at the end of the day.

It was a really bruising last quarter when Bridgey came hard at Pyramid. I can't see Pyramid beating Calivil next weekend.

Calivil by 30 points.

The Hill defiantly have a huge chance to win this week, but there’s no way anyone in there right mind would tip them, especially in the weather that is likely to occur on Saturday, Calivil are just too good in shitty weather, well actually they are probably too good in good weather. My tip: Calivil by 20pts
Never been a fan of Pyramid, but that being said, geez I hope they can win, and end this streak, they deserve it after such a consistent year.

Go the Hill!!!

Last years votes are on http://loddonvalleyfl.vcfl.com.au on the side is "2007 Award Winners", this brings up all 2007 votes by each round on a spreadsheet, maybe the 2008 votes will be placed here after the GF ELVEE has been sold.

Bridgey in an upset in the first game of the day.

Pyramid to lead all day but get rolled in the last quarter in the reserves

Calivil to come out firing in the seniors blow the game apart in the first half and then coast to an easy 4 goal win in the seniors like they have done in 4 of the past 5 years. If Pyramid are close at halftime the demons could be in some strife.

FYI Newbridge appointed a new senior coach this weekend, Bruce Hughes.

Hi all, just after a few answers on the Newbridge coach please.
What is he like as a bloke?
Do Newbridge have a fair bit of cash to throw around?
I'm only asking due to he is already chasing players, and he has contacted some Macorna footballers but they don't realy know much about him, or Newbridge for that matter. Thanx..
Good luck to Pyramid and hope Paul Carmody can get through the game and bring home a win!!!

Hughesy played footy at Golden Square initially and then went out to Colbo in HDFL and was a premiership player. He is a really good down to earth bloke and players will get along well with him. I think he may have been chairman of selectors at White Hills this year and must just have a taste for it again

Accurate as always Gerta, seniors spot on, 17's was newbridge, all the rest right. jen Morrison (Wilson) coached and played in YCW A grade premiership and her brother Ash Wilson, coached and played in Senior Premiership at Wandella today also. Ash proved to be worth the cash he was paid by Wandella. Could he be persuaded to take over the reins at Ycw, or will Miti be in his ear after the year they have had?

Reputation? Please do tell.

Driving a bus for a living..... relevance?

I think he came back from injury or knee op or something similar but justify his place in the team how you will.

Good luck with having one nut... and your empty spot on your mantle piece where a premiership medallion will most likely never sit.

Question to the masses from an interested observer:

How were Calivil looking for age in the next few years - assuming Maxted the elder, Freemantle etc begin to play a lesser part do they have enough others who will naturally assume their roles to make a new dynasty without breaking stride, or is there a window of opportunity on the horizon for the others in the competition?

B-Boy surely you understand that there are different levels of fitness. It isn't simply a case of you being Fit or Unfit. Reece is fit enough to play well in Loddon Valley but not fit enough to really impose himself on games week in week out. He certainly isn't fit enough to play Bendigo Footy at a good level. I presume this should clear things up for you otherwise I also presume that you will come back with another witty reply perhaps containing the F word.

Might have something to do with all those premierships he keeps winning...? Just a thought??? No-where in the same league as some of those dirty Pyramid Maggots boys, so how bout you say "congrats on the 680th medal you've got fat boy Manly" and leave it at that... Nothing worse than a sore losing b*tching about a bloke for using his weight to push a few undersized skinny pyramid freaks around. Starters mate you dont need 2 many games to watch 2 voice an opinion and secondly the bfl is not a second graded comp as both these players would be smashed in bendigo. ok ill rephrase the Poyner is unfit to "Poyner is the most overrated footballer ever not that i ever rated him. Put it this way Poyner vs Barham or any other half back player would smash him to pieces. Clutton vs herdman. Clutton not as hard at it. better comp equals better players! you obviously only ever played in this mere 3rd grade comp that doesnt even have interleague. Could not agree more with B-Boy! I saw Fat Boy Manly trotting around the ground and being hard at the football is when the ball is there to be won not by behind the play stuff or off the ball. Its all relative Crow....your chucking Poyner and Clutton up against the cream of the crop in the BFL (Barham/Herdman) of course theyre gunna find the going tough! But who says they would play in those same key positions they hold down in the LVFL??

That being said....Im sure Sandhurst would have taken them with open arms this year, Kyneton aswell, both those sides would have had blokes running around week in week out that in your opinion wernt up to BFL level, but how do you think players get better, by playing in better leagues- thats how! Basically, the point is nobody is saying they would be worldbeaters if they took the next step up to the BFL, but they would definately be handy, would quickly improve and contribute more than you probably think!

For those of you who went to the Grand Final and saw Fat boy Manly throwing his weight around would have also noticed that he tried to have a go at Pyramids full back Trav Gillett.

For memory I think he wore 7 of Gilletts finests blows before the over sized oaf new what hit him. Considering he played the rest of the game with one eye open ( the other closed from swelling) was not a bad effort. Just goes to show what happens when heroes have a go at someone there own size.

Go Gillett. Fat Boy Manly is a disgrace. Any suggestion that he should be judged by the medals he wears is utter rubbish. He is and always has been a fat passenger. Just imagine Manly playing in an average side. Do you think he would win many games off his own boot at full forward. I think not. You could put my three legged dog at full forward in the Calivil side and it would at least match fat boy. If Calivil should recruit a half decent forward just watch how quick fat boy is moved on.
When looking at the Calivil Premiership sides lets talk about the real reasons they win: Stephen Dean, Lachlan Ralph's, Stephen Blake, Allen boys, Maxted's, Freemantle (that hurt to say), Glen Richards (in the old days), the other Ralph, the unheralded Rory Doolan and of course the best one Aaron Demeo. A fat passenger who still gets picked to play in the senior side in a grand final. Time and again. SO why would they pick him or anyone else not contributing to the teams performance?

IF Calivil recruits a half decent forward..... why would they bother chasing anyone. They have proven to be unbeatable in September for how many years now? Makes you wonder if it is skills, teamwork or experience in finals but ever since these guys were playing in GF's in U17's they have been amazingly succesful.

But seriously you guys are f#cking pathetic. There is surely more to talk about than one player. How about what the f#ck happened to Pyramid and who is going to be strong next year etc. Move along to next season, nothing to see here.

Calivil were by far a better side than Pyramid on the day. Pyramid looked like auskickers compared to Calivil's big men. However what cannot be excused is Manly's behaviour on the field. Gillet is a fantastic player, who was protecting a young fella on the team, who is still eligible for under 17's, and Manly had been trying to take out. Manly should worry about just playing football instead of the opposition players. Imagine the uproar at Calivil if Pyramid were getting into young Matty Smith like that?

is it fair to assume that whoever takes on the coaching job at Calivil will inherit the posion chalice? You cant compete with what they have done for the last 6 years and even if you do win they expect it.

Can't say for certain but I've heard via my sources that Cam definitely wont be coaching or playing for Calivil next year. Apparently he works with one of the Maxteds (possibly Ross I can't remember) & he has supposedly said that he would try to get Cart's to Calivil. Also there was only 2 little blokes that manly hit. One scott mann, which u'd have to say wasn't that big a hit was just late. 2nd was luke cauchi, and in my mind and probably others he was the luckiest kid out there. lucky he wasn't the one taken off on a strecher. He had to know he had it comin the way he was mouthin off at the calivil boys, it started comin from him back at the miti final.

Well i hear Matt Keating has bought a motel up in Rochy, so he is gone, good bloke on and off the field.

Heard YC are in talks with several blokes, one is Webby, not sure which Webby he is, only that his wife is Janella or Janay is putting in for the netball job also (she used to coach Sandhurst nettie), double act. Apparently they are offering big cash for their footy coach and offering $5,000 to her to coach the netball. Could this be true, surely not, if so we might have to start coaching the chicks?:p Come on you YC gophers whats the go?

I hear that Weekley trio are heading off to the LV league. Apparently Sea Lake Nandally is bit far to travel too. Two of them played at Sandhurst, and seem to be likely types. Anyone know which Club they are heading too ?

Seems to be a few clubs without confirmed senior coaches yet - Bridgewater, YCW, Inglewood, Calivil, Serp? Surely this delays recruiting.

Fairly close??? He was asked if he would consider it, and he laughed and said thanks but no thanks! More of a chance to be returning to the HDFL White Hills I would have thought after missing Eaglehawks flag this year...or might stick with the two Blues.

And wouldnt have thought Webb would leave North after winning there B&F, and being such a key factor in there rebuild. Then again, $ could be a factor.

Would of thought being so close that it won't require much more... that is if you don't lose any??
