Its time too blood every young player on list and i don't care how much we get beaten by, enough is enough we are going nowhere as club. Robert Walls on 3aw today said its going too take carlton 6 to 8 years and i agree with him half the players on our list are recycled. The biggest mistake Denis Pagan made when he recruited all the these players because of this we are even further behind.

yer why dont we play stevo, fev and kuta in the 2nds and give ALL our youger players a run..

you play football to win games not blood youth. plus with the team we have now there is no way we are going to win another game for the whole yr so....BRING ON THE SUPER DRAFT

So you would be happy to see every one of our young guys on the park & getting ripped to shreds by guys like Jono Brown / Tredrea etc... at the age of 18-19 like Zac Dawson ?

Yes, lets mentally scar all of them !

I would prefer a staggered approach, & hey, if there not ready let them develop in the reserves (ala Blackwell)

No point in continual smahings, & m,ost importantly you dont want young bodies smashed by big KPP's.

Look at guy's like Heath Shaw, a 3rd year player with 10 odd games to his name, so too Brad Simes from Port (there are planty of other good eg's), these guys did their time in the ressies & have come up with confidence & a hunger to prove themselves & most importantly belief.

I'd hate to see us kill a couple of younger guys only because we didnt let them develop & DOMINATE at a lesser level to gain confidence prior to playing in the 1's.

I would like to see all the younger guys get a go at certain stages over the season, but not all together at once from here-in - that would be a disaster.

I agree with other posting that we need to stagger the approach...

We can't just drop lance, fev, kouta, stephens, lappin, to blood our youngsters...

remember the coach is not out there on the field and we need some responsible senior players out there teaching some stuff (whitnall, kouta, lappin).

also the senior players can assist in protecting the little younglings when a big gorilla comes to pick on em.

imagine what would happen if J.Brown went after Murphy... it'd be like Semi Trailer V Bambi. And I don't see Houlihan helping murphs out on that one! But you would see Fev, Whitnall, Kouta put on a bit of a show!

Lets not deprive our seniors too.. for Whits, Fev, Stephens will be players for another 5+ years... and they need to keep their skills up to par with seniors and they deserve to be on the park... we should not demote them just to blood young players. Cos Some of our seniors do not deserve to be dropped!

GO BLUES!

Agree with the responses here. We need to be careful and take a long term view with our kids. There are some good ones coming through and we need to do what is best for them long term.

There are a lot of calls of play X or Y when they are simply not ready.

There is plenty of dead wood on our team, we all know that but unfortunately we can get rid of them all at once.

As far 6-8 years to get back to the top that is just gargabe. Who the hell knows where anyone is going to be then.
