He is back. Dave "God"Lombardo is back in Slayer.

Taken from Beat magazine :

Slayer drummer Paul Bostaph has left the band due to a chronic elbow injury. Original drummer, Dave Lombardo, will guest on the next leg of the American God Hates Us All tour. Lombardo recorded with the band on some of their most well known including Reign in Blood and Seasons in the Abyss. The US leg of the GHUS Tour commences in Connecticut on January 24. And in other news Slayer has been nominated in 2 categories for this year’s Grammy Awards. The categories are Best Metal Performance: for Disciple and Best Metal Album for God Hates Us All. The irony is that that Slayer has been at the forefront of metal since 1983 and should they attend the awards they won’t need to wear masks.

I didn't know they were still together - let alone touring without Dave Lombardo. Guess my head is in the sand. I'll keep some feelers out to see if they are going to be playing any venues within striking range of where I live. Thanks for the tip. Peace,

Mooster

All is well in the world again.:)

Read that news last week on a Slayer site, and raised a toast in its honour.

Please stay for the next album and do Reign In Blood Part 2!

Latest news is that the drummer from ABSU is the favourite to win the permanent drummming slot in Slayer. Not sure if Dave Lombardo has applied for the position. No idea what will happen to ABSU either.

If Slayer are smart, they will try and get him back on full time!

Good to see him back though! :D

Wow. That is news.

Will Slayer now start playing 'Celtic inspired BM' like Absu?

Having heard a few ABSU albums in my time, I hope NOT!
