I know this show would not be everyones cup of tea but i caught a few episodes on sbs when it was on and now i watch it all the time on UKTV. Its so bizarre and random its funny. Just wondering what others thought of this show?

I've downloaded a few episodes... it's very hit and miss. It's like a lot of british comedies, abstract, bizarre and random at times. Does it get better in the 2nd series? I'm amazed that Noel Fielding has a following amongst young women, he's dead ugly.
I prefer other classics such as the Royle Family, League of Gentleman and the very unrated Gareth Marenghi's Darkplace.
Have you seen Snuffbox yet?
I've only seen the clips off the bbc website, and damn they're good... particularly the 2nd clip.
"This one's for my boyfriend. f&$k you........ whiskey!" :D

I saw it once in England after a few lagers, and laughed the whole way through.
Haven't seen it since due to its timeslot here in Oz.
Was on sbs a year or so back. I don't get english humour that well so i found it boring.
The chicks love this guy cause he looks like a mod. The hair the clothes and all that. He actually reminds me of a very young rod steward.

I watched a couple of episodes. Some bits had me shaking my head but mostly I really enjoyed it.
A bit that sticks in my memory is when they had Bryan Ferry as some kind of guardian of the jungle and he gave the lads a horn to blow if they were ever in trouble and he would help them. Later in the show when they found themselves in a spot of bother the horn was blown but Bryan missed it because he was doing the vacuuming at the time.
Interesting!

Great show. I think these two came out to the Comedy Festival a few years back. Confirm or deny?
But yeah, great way to spend half an hour :thumbsu:
It's got to be one of my favourite comedy series going around. Have both series one and two on DVD; second series isn't as good as the first but still absolutely brilliant. Gotta love Dixon Bainbridge from the first series, who happens to be one of the doctors in Garth Marenghi's Dark Places.

Yeah, that's the one I saw! Couldn't stop laughing!!

I managed to download snuffbox, which is Matt Berry's new series. If your into bizarre comedies and loved Matt Berry in Darkplace and Mighty Boosh - get it. He even wrote all the music...

This show is awesome. Like most people it took me a while to warm to it but once you get used to the weirdness it's really enjoyable and fresh.
The second season is even more bizarre, but apart from a couple of clever episodes it's not as funny. The radio series from a few years back is much funnier if you liked series one.
The cast are doing a stage show in the UK at the moment and there are plans for a third series and even movie.

Love it.
Been known to dabble in comedy... and this is what I aspire to.

I've had this show recommended to me and they compared it to the Young Ones. A modern day Young Ones if you will. Now I love the Young Ones, will I like this?

In a word Yes.
Remember that episode where that random elephant head appeared and started singing? its like that.
Also if people like this watch Snuff Box, its got at least one guy from this and a guy from Nathan Barley. Its more random (how is that possible?) but not as funny imo.
Its about two guys who are modern executioners.

No it's nothing like the Young Ones.
I'd say you'd enjoy it if you like shows like Dark Side and The League of Gentlemen.
Less rolling gags and more one off gags.
