Support is minimal, expect to be outnumbered 2:1 by Swans fans.
That said, its grown from virtually zero and actually given the code a lifeline in the ACT when the rugby codes were becoming all-dominant.
It will take another 20 years before Canberra is really a Roo town, even among footy followers, but that's quicker than the Gold Coast could ever be.

There are alot of Victorians living in the carrara area though.

Judging by the corwds that have turned out for the two games so far, they won't go to the footy.
The point with Canberra is the Kangas can gradually grow their own fan base, at Cararra the club would largely be relying on footy supporters who follow other clubs turning up for a footy fix.

Tend to agree with Little Johnny on this one (and that's a rare moment in history when Howard and I see eye to eye). Most of the Vics on the Gold Coast would already have an opinion of the Kangas, and it wouldn't be all positive. In spite of it meaning I could see home games more regularly, I'd be nervous about us leaving Canberra to play out of Carrara.
Incidentally, I'll be there in Canberra this weekend. Look for a lanky fella wearing an old-school woollen-knit VFL jumper (on top of 40 other layers and underneath a big coat).

Unable to go this weekend due to work :thumbsd:.
Can usually swap shifts but can't. I had to select games the boys would miss with their AFL team due to large numbers and I chose this weekend so they are really peeved that we arnt' going to Canberra and they don't get to play.
My names MUD at home.
Cheers all.

Manuka's the best ground!
Funniest sh|t, but at Manuka the Locker rooms are stuck underneath the grandstand and have glass around them so you can actually peer in and see the blokes doing their warming up sessions.
Anyways because of this it is really easy to hurl abuse at the Swans players.
So I managed to weave my way to the front of the crowd with a "Go Roos" cardboard banner, and I started banging on the windows yellin at the swans saying "Go Roos", “you suck Swans" and numerous other rude profanities.
He He, it really gave Shcnider the sh|ts as well as the other Swans fans that had crowded around. :D
I single handedly turned Manuka into a cauldron of pain for a few split seconds. :D
Just a funny momnet on an other wise crap day. :o
