From an article in The Australian not reproduced on their website:

The net stadium return is a revenue figure which includes gate receipts, signage, membership, reserved seating, catering and corporate hospitality, less the expenditure for ground rental and match-day costs.

Stadium Returns 2005

West Coast $10.93 m
Brisbane $10.84 m
Collingwood $10.3 m
Fremantle $10.29 m

Sydney $7.62 m (+ $0.46 m ASD) = $8.08 m
Essendon $7.49 m
Adelaide $7.28 m
Carlton $7.18 m
Geelong $7.06 m
Melbourne $6.1 m (+ $1.0 m ASD) = $7.1 m

St Kilda $6.03 m
Port Adelaide $5.93 m
Hawthorn $5.65 m
Richmond $5.57 m
Kangaroos $5.14 m (+ $1.4 m ASD) = $6.54 m

Western Bulldogs $4.64 m (+ $1.7 m ASD) = $6.34 m

*ASD = Clubs on AFL financial assistance in 2006 (Annual Special Distribution)

Essentially St Kilda is in the bottom 4 clubs (after ASD handouts are considered) for revenue.

Net Assets - 2005

Essendon $13.3 m
Adelaide $9.2 m
West Coast $8.8 m
Brisbane $7.8 m
Collingwood $6.4 m
Hawthorn $6.2 m
Geelong $5.7 m
Port Adelaide $5.3 m

Fremantle $0.4 m
Sydney -$0.66 m
Richmond -$0.7 m
St Kilda -$1.3 m

Melbourne -$3.9 m
Western Bulldogs -$4.4 m
Kangaroos -$4.6 m
Carlton -$7.3 m

I recall St Kilda announcing earlier this year that they were officially debt free for the first time in quite a while. This is good news. It compares poorly to the top 8 clubs though, who all have in excess of $5 million in net assets.
