This will be my last post for a while. Today was the last straw. I can't be bothered devoting any more emotion to this pathetic club.
Today marked the end of the following careers, if not now, in the near future or at the end of the season.
Bomber Thompson
The rest of the coaching staff
Cameron Ling
Josh Hunt
Tom Harley (body is gawn)
Brad Ottens (body is not up to 100 minutes of football)
Steve Johnson
There may be others. I'm too angry to think at the moment.

I thought Ottens broke even with the best ruckman in the league.
Agreed.
That's what happens when you have 15 midfielders in your team and the opposition runs out of players.
Just ran all over them!
Josh Hunt was OK. 21 p's from a back pocket and you want to sack him.

Hunt was shyte doesnt matter how many useless stats he had
Ling is done, he has been pathetic all season and i hope thompson can grow sum balls and drop him for next week.
we'll take Welsh
dont listen to him. welsh and solomon cant go. as bad as we are they cant.
I have to admit, i thought we are going badly, but i feel sorry for your mob, you have forgot how to win. Just saw the scenes on the tv. their shattered.

Our shattered? I wish we had a 'shattered'. We don't have anything at this moment...
WE NEED FITNESS. WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO RUN OUT AN ENTIRE GAME, FFS
Not often a 36 possession game gets rated as pathetic.
If you had've one by 3 points he would have been a hero!

You're f***ing pathetic. For the first time in a while Corey played in the middle and had a fantastic game, ran hard and tried his arse off all day.

Are u sure u were watching the same game. Corey??? WTF do u expect from our players, he was clearly our best player. and Kelly is finally starting to play like we expect him too.
I hope u r reffering to certain instances or being sarcastic, if not, u need to watch games more closely.

Hold on a minute... isn't this the side that Geelong have spent the best part of a decade building? Isn't this the side that was meant to go all the way?
Are Geelong now officially rebuilding?
I find that hard to believe.

Never use possessions to rate a player. Incredibly overrated stat. Some of our 'ball magnets' have been a friggin disgrace.

Agree. These two had lots of the ball. But they did sweet F.A. with it. Corey holding up the ball midway through the third on the wing only to chip and have it cut off. Guess what? A goal.
Corey, given a 50m penalty to put him 10m out. Does he settle? No! He plays on and slams it directly into the woodwork.
He was our B&F last year and I think tehre's too much sentiment because of this.
Both he and Kelly need a rest.

we will have Solomon need a kicker from 50, Hunt i like but to arrogant and bad descion making will be his problem (big confidence player) maybe in the centre penetraing the forward 50 , if you can kick long may as well.

Man I know we are in bad shape when an Essendon supporter feels sorry for us. What next, King Eddie offering their draft pick to us?
Save your sympathy for next week when we kick Essendons butt all over the park, cause we will finally win and make you guys look second rate.

Settle down champ. Im not putting your team down. And i would think you will beat us next week easily. This could be a turning point for your team to get hungry.

They were hungry up until about the 18 minute mark of the third quarter! Only Geelong could allow a team to win like they did today.
I must say I have lost a bit of respect for Bomber over the last few weeks, but I don't think sacking Bomber is going to fix the problem down in Sleepy Hollow!

Would you all shut up! The coach had a gameplan that was implemented and got us in to a 54 point lead against the ladder leaders and premiership favourites. We ended the game with half a bench and jnr running around with a bad injury.
Yes they should have won, but the first half of football was exactly what we've been asking for. We were lacking a strong onfield leader and that is all yesterday. I said it earlier, but a change of captain NOW would do great things for us. Give it to Chappy, Ablett or Bartel and watch what happens.
Also, I thought Corey played a good game. Yes he rushed the kick, which was a very bad mistake, but that wasn't the reason Weagles kicked all the goals they did was it. I saw him set up some great plays.
If we can put that playing in to a good 4 quarters, then there is no reason we can't win 9 of the remaining matches and make the finals. And once we're there, you just never know what could happen.
As for changing the coach, its the worst thing we could do, unless it was a Sheedy, Blight or Parkin. Anyone else, and you might get that first year make the finals under the new coach thing. But do you really think that a new coach is going to be able to change much with our playing group.
This is still the same team that made the finals the past 2 years, pushing the eventual premiers in tough matches. Look at some of the bodies out there and we still have a young list that will be around for 3-4 years of great football.
I'll wait till the end of the year before I do anything too drastic.

yes first 1/2 was good.
We have an onfield leader - Mooney.
Forward line was working.
Why dismantle forward line to plug a backline hole? took our ability to score away and did nothing to stop them scoring, but that's bomber just let the guys do what they like if their tired. Parking wouldn't stand for that crap.
Thommo made the error.
Leave Moons at CHF, he is big mean and can take a mark, same as hall, brown, tredrea etc. Just leave him there!

Its good to see one of the :D:D:D:D:Dhead supporters leave, as soon as everyone else wants to jump off the wagon rather than to continually discourage the players even further.
Gee ...... over the past few weeks we've heard some pretty crazy stuff, imagine our 22 minus;
- Ling, Kelly in the centre
- David Wojcinski, Tom Harley and Josh Hunt not in the back 50
- Steve Johnson and Otto no longer in the goalsquare
- Mackie, H and Charlie G not even in the VFL
I think not guys, c'mon!
Steve Johnson, Josh Hunt are the only likely players to be looked at come trade week.
Shannon Byrnes is a maybe ... but Cameron Ling will be in our 22 for another 200 games - get a clue!!! Sif Ling will ever be traded!

There's nothing wrong with being critical with a player, as long as he gets credit where it is due.

Absolutely. I'm more than happy to eat humble pie when I'm wrong - I've personally apologised to Geelong players in the past - but equally, I'll call it as I see it when players are out of form. Last year I wanted Rooke shot after the Melbourne loss but he has improved out of sight this year as a midfielder.
Coaching staff 1 Me 0.
As for some of our underperformers - Steve Johnson, Kelly, Ling, well we'll wait and see.

well, be critical, ling has been crap and shouldnt be in the midfield. plain and simple.
but his past is dredged up as a defence and others playing worse seems to enough to defend him. he is open to criticism as any other player, regardless of this "great clubman" crap.
he is a good player not playing in his best position.

So you think his best position is a position he hasnt played since high school. mmm
More importantly are you saying his best position is not the position where he has gone top 3 in the b&f for a few years straight.
Maybe he just sucks eggs now and is no good and we should trade in for a 4th rounder. Chambers went 3rd round so acc to this place 4th round would be a nice pick up.

i dont know what his best position is but he is too slow to be in the midfield and not damaging enough with the possessions he gets. we look at hodge, judd, kerr, etc and cringe if they get the ball thinking about where they are going to hurt us. do you think opposition supporters do that with Ling. i think not.
and i never said trade him or delist him.

Why shouldnt he have built up some credits.
He has had a bad start to the season,
He has looked slow,
His disposal has been poor.
They are the a facts.
Ling is like alot of other cats down on confidence. However when it comes back he'll be back to his hard running (i use the word run liberally so not to offend) self and im sure his disposal will improve.

When you only kick the ball 20 metres sideways to unguarded teammates so it should.

He should play as a tagger then. At least until he gets form back. That way he wont have to be damaging by getting heaps of possessions.
