View Full Version : Bad Luck Fellas
On losing today....I thought we were gone for all money....I actually knew before the start of this game that it would be tough as we play so crap down at skilled stadium and that it wouldnt have surprised me to see a result similiar to last years.....And at haalf time they were my thought exactly....But Woosha must have said something to the lads at half time as we came out firing and you guys just looked shot to pieces...
Bad Luck fellas...Was a great game and i thought we were gone...I seriously still cannot believe it...one of the greatest eagles games ever.

Yeah jeez that's just gotta hurt, I hope you boys are drowning your sorrows tonight. It's put a spring in my step that's for sure, I'd imagine it would be the opposite but worse for you guys.
Your boys just need to come to play to brush aside the Bombers next week, from there who knows what can happen. Talent doesn't just disappear, there's still a contender somewhere in there.

thanks for your thought people, gracious winners are always welcome.
empathy is what separates us from animals
Bad luck cats. 7 goals from free kicks is a disgrace. Even with you running out of legs, you would have still won comfortably without that.

you mean without giving away the free kicks?
I think its a bit rough to come on their board and label them a disgrace. :thumbsu:

Careful guys we are slighty starting to sound like Collingwood supporters -blaming our teams downfall on umpires.

Im not blaming them, just making a point.
Oh, and giving them my best wishes, in that they enjoy the lesser league next week..

For the most part, I like Geelong as a team and wouldn't generally wish a loss like that upon them. Would have been much more satisfying if it had been Essendon or Collingwood. So commiserations. Hopefully this will become the catalyst for a major turnaround.

Pfft you had your share go your way too, such as Jones' holding the ball right in front of your goals and Scarlett obviously holding the ball in front of ours in the last quarter.
It doesn't matter anyway, you're mob gave away the majority of the free kicks earlier on and still lead by 54 points - and still lost. The umpiring was poor for both sides but it shouldn't be what you are whinging about...

Yeah we had the grand total of 2 go our way.
And im not whinging, refer to my recent post. You have to admit that 7 goals from frees is bloody extreme.

I agree with you dude. The umpiring was crap for both teams. It sucks for us cats fans that your 7 goals or whatever it was came from free's. Some of those deicisions were wrong IMO BUT Geelong lost it totally and really the players only have themselves to blame.

If you give them away you have to cop that, and your team did infringe with the vast majority of them - you got more than 2 going your way, I've rewatched the game, you braved it yet?

Ummm, the stats in the paper would dispute that.
