Scotch are playing Geelong Grammar not college so it won't be the match of the round. Scotch will thump them even with some players out with state trial games.

Geelong College play wesley in which should be an easy win, meaning they finish in the top four, meaning melbourne and xavier will fight it out in round 8 for the last position

Nice to see someone really knows what they're talking about haha. I wouldnt call losing by 30 points a thumping at all. Scotch really dissapointed me today... i expected a very dominant team but they lacked a lot of structure. I understand they had a lot of decent players out at state trials but there is a scary lack of depth. Furthermore the scotch boys seemed very concerned when the margin got to within 8 points deep in the 3rd quarter... all the same i thought Njoku played very well, number 3, the days captain played well and number 41 (is it Rioli?) he was very good in shrugging tackles and shows a lot of skill. Although at the end of the day Scotch is going to need to do a lot more, regardless of the fact they were missing players, if they are to knock off Haileybury.

How so??
I think there was only 3 players missing, Rioli, Djurkurra, Smith. They'd be pretty handy inclusions.
I hear there was a supposed incident between the ruckmen just before half-time where the Scotch ruckman was left with a broken hand after the Geelong Grammar ruckman had no eyes for the ball and took out the legs of the Scotch ruckman?? Can you shed any light on this incident?

i thought scotch played very well in parts they certainly have football brains and deliver very well to their full-forward. that guy is a massive asset and its obvious that if they get the ball to him theyd be hard to beat. i meant that when scotch were under pressure, eg 3rd quarter, they seemed to be very rushed and lost composure, i take it you saw the game, or played in it? and youd agree that ggs missed a lot of opportunities at that point. i saw the incident... i dont think it was intentional at all but who knows, thats footy

Nah didn't play or see it actually. Couldn't get off school.
Just heard stuff.
Also heard that Scotch used the two-pronged forwards to good effect, with one kicking 8 and the other 5.
Also heard that there was a good crowd to support you blokes.

there was for once... which is positive. the team certainly took advantage of it. i would agree that the forward set-up is really effective, they also have the options of shooting from the pockets or the flanks if they need to, it works well. should make first game back next term very interesting, scotch ff on haileyburys fb will be a massive contest

Yeh saw the Haileybury game today, thought thye were very good, especially in the second half where they kicked15 goals to 1.
Gilder up forward dominated kicking 8 with the rest of the goals been spread around which is good because it mean they dont rely on 1 or 2 players. Haileyburys backline were sensational today with Lynch, Comben, Tunik and Driscoll all getting plenty of the ball and providing lots of run of the half back line.. Erikson was great as usual not letting his man get 1 possesion for the whole day.
Best: Driscoll, Chadwick, Gilder, Sheldon, Hill, Luxa ( Could name about 15 blokes as it was not clear cut as to who were in the best, but these 6 come to mind.)
Should be an amazing match come round 8 when Haileybury meet Scotch. Will be a battle of the star studed midfields with both teams having 6 - 7 gun players rotating through.
