It will be so pleasing that one of the most arrogant, selfish, self centred, conceited, individualistic players of all time, will NEVER EVER hold the Premiership cup aloft.
He will NEVER EVER experience the euphoria of playing in a premiership team.
Buckley fits the Collingwood mould perfectly....mouthy, trashy, arrogant, selfish.

Us Tiges may be a fair way off winning the flag, but Collingwood won't win the flag in your lifetime.
They are chokers of the highest order! And I repeat; BUCKS will NEVER, EVER be a premiership player.
He didn't even deserve the Norm Smith medal. He took what wasn't his to take.
Voss won the match that day for the Lions. How ridiculous that the voting was decided at the 10 minute mark of the last quarter.

I don't think not winning a Grand Final comes into it. You can be a great player and never be in a side that wins the big one.
That being said I rate Voss and Hird a mile above Buckley.

Yere true. I wasn't inferring that winning a flag makes one a great player. I acknowledge that many a great player eg Harvey, Dempsey, Flower etc did not win a flag. It can certainly add to the aura of a player if plays well in a GF though.
On the contrary, I'm delighting in the fact that Buckley, who has been a champion player, albeit arrogant, selfish etc simply won't be a premiership player, like his contemporaries in Voss, Hird, Riccuito.
Such a pity eh ?
