Kevin Sheedy is without doubt the best man to lead the Bombers for 2007 and beyond. To all those calling for his head, you should seriously consider the following facts...
1. Kevin has a great gameplan... none of this basketball crap for his team! He likes to them to play an attractive brand of football and I must admit that I find it very attractive watching them lose each week.:p
2. Sheeds is the master of re-inventing himself. The fact that the has re-invented himself as a loser for the last couple of years shows that he could re-invent himself as a winner again one day too.
3. He is the master recruiter of our generation. All other clubs have been warned to beware the Bombers come draft time. Opposition clubs should lock up their potential Hennemans, Zantucks and Boltons on long term contracts or face the consequences.
So all you paper aeroplane thowing, ex jacket waving, martian hating, nuff nuffs should give the man the support and respect he deserves... and whilst we're on the subject leave Bomber Thompson alone too... all of you.

I think you left off an ALL OF YOU!
Now. Sheedy. :( Jesus wept.
While "Wallet" has led the tigers to a 115 & 118 points losses, with no chance of them making the eight, what a super coach.

138>>>>>>115 & 118
Also, although extremely unlikely, Richmond are not without a chance of making the finals. Cant see it happening myself but they are not that far off from scraping into 8th, especially considering that they have been playing winning (not necessarily good) football over the last few weeks.
Edit: They are only out of the 8 on percentage FFS. And you're giving thme no chance of making the 8.
Admittedly, it is a **** poor percentage.

Don't get all sooky, Mantis. I am trying to be supportive for you guys:)
By the way, the Tigers are only out of the eight on percentage.
Does anyone have a link to the audio of: "Leave them alone! Yes, you! ALL OF YOU!!!!"

No chance of making the 8?
We are 5-5 with one of the toughest draws so far of any team this season
We've played all the premiership favourites, beaten one of them, played in Perth twice already, beat Brisbane in Brisbane and beat Geelong in Geelong.
Our run home sees us play 7 of 8 games in Melbourne, including 5 at the MCG, where we always play our best football.
If you think we have no chance of making the 8 you must be in severe shock. Wouldn't surprise me with the way the Bombers season has gone. I'd lose all grip on reality too.
His plan backfired. He wanted to win a Premiership before Braveheart retires.
too funny

Just the idea of being on Sheeds' back is enough to give me nightmares.
I'd hate to think what someone would have to be doing in order to find themselves there!

We have a damn good second half draw as opposed to the first half. We've had the draw from hell so far. Browny's back this week along with lids and krakouer. We're a real chance for the 8 and anyone who denies it is kidding themselves. Apart from the 2 bad losses we've been playing pretty good competitive footy. As pav for AA would say, :thumbsu: :thumbsu:
Hey Tigeriffic,
Is this the same Sheedy that Richmond keep romancing themselves about every time his contract nears end?

Thank God we didnt end up with the has-been Sheedy... You can include Queen Solomon in my thanks too...
PHEW! :o
Wallace is a great coach. Anyone who can turn around such devastating defeats and lead his side to victories so soon after is something special.
Sheedy and Pagan are downhill skiers. When the heat is on they set fire to the kitchen.

I'd like to know why Wallace is thought as a better coach then Sheedy and for that matter Pagan.
Sheedy and Pagan have both coached a side to a premiership. Essendon had more wins then any other side over the last 11 seasons before this year started.
Essendon is down the bottom of the ladder, and if they're still there by the end 2007 then I'll admit that Sheedy may have lost it. However, I think that we're going to improve considerably over the course of this season and next season. If we make the finals in 2008 as I think we will, then since 1998 we would have had 3 seasons out of the finals over a 10 year period, I'd say that is pretty acceptable. Throw in 2 GF appearances as well as a prelim and I'd say that is excellent....
Besides this, I'd like to see all the evidence that makes Wallace a better coach...?
ALL the evidence that is supporting Wallace is provided by Wallace:rolleyes:

1980, and not lookin good anytime soon.
How many 100pt losses this season?
There's less between Essendon and Richmond than you think.
Richmond For: 834 Against: 1088 Percentage: 76.65
Essendon For: 854 Against: 1128 Percentage: 75.71

You know what, I would LOVE to see them make the 8. It puts them that little bit behind in their premiership race.
What are you people nuts?? You CANT win a Premiership from scraping into the finals!!!! And while you do it, all you do it put your team behind the race for future premierships. If you cant finish in the top 4 you should tank, really. THATS what the AFL rewards.

Yeah your percentage is worse, and we've won 5 matches while you've won one and lost 9 in a row.
Our similarities end at the percentage :D

And the for and against....
Oh, and that we lost our FF from the start of the season and youve just lost yours now.
Other than that, no similarities at all.....

We've also been missing a certain Nathan G Brown and our entire KPP backline for the 8/10s of the season.
You wanna cry about injuries, then I suggest you dont come crying to a Tiger. Apart from the Bulldogs, we've probably been hit the worst... But you wont see us complaining:cool:

Just quickly here are 3 clubs ahead of the Tigers in injury (other then the Bulldogs). And Essendon wouldn't be far behind either (Hird, Lloyd, Campo, Cole, JJ)
Adelaide crows:
Clarke, Welsh, Bock, Pfeffier, Perrie, Hart and a couple more.
Brisbane:
Adcock, Clark, Corrie, Drummond, hadley, C. Johnson, Keating, Lappin, Leppa, MacDonald, Merret, C Scott.
Saints:
Clarke, Clarke, Hamil, Hayes, Kosi, Thompson, Watts
Tigers:
Deledio, Brown, Krakouer, Richardson, Thursfield, Chaffey...

That is ridiculous logic Ari. Finals experience is fantastic for any young side. It will further the teams' development and help their youngsters mature.
You can't win a premiership without finals experience, its the first step towards the ultimate success.
The difference between Essendon and Richmond is that the Tigers are improving whilst the Bombers are going backwards. Their smug arrogance is fading, your coach is past his use by date, your best player is coming towards the end of his career and your youngsters are generally average.
Essendon fans can gloat as much as they want about the past because their future is looking very very bleak.

Sheedy has been a great coach, but clearly Wallace is better at building a club for the future, and is better at getting the best out of his players (Kane Pettifer for example is having his best year so far)

How's your gun draft Camporeale going?

Stop living in the past. That was 1999. 7 years ago. Even some Tigers supporters thought he could still coach that many years ago. Now days, none do, and even fewer bombers supporters think so too ;)

Wallace is fighting for a finals spot whereas Sheedy is fighting for a wooden spoon.
How much more obvious does it need to get for you?

The thing about Wallace is that he's actually given tiger fans real tangiable hope for future sustained success for nearly the first time in 20 years. Whereas Sheedy is leading bomber fans into gloomy times for the next few years.

So, seeing that the Pies finished bottom last season and Brisbane struggled last season, that makes Wallace better then both Malthouse and Lethal?
By that criteria chris Connolly is a better coach then Wallace too - Freo above Richmond on the ladder...

Will the AFL give sheedy a job if he give up coaching he's is good for footy.
