Surely the match review panel should have made some comment about how Scott West ended up on the ground, with Ben Dixon standing over him.

I'm not saying he's guilty, but surely an explanation is needed.

It must have fitted in to the same category of the Barry Hall/Chris Grant incident.

I was sitting on the other side of the ground and noone around me knew what was going on at the time but you could here the uproar from supporters who saw it happen. Last night on Fox Footy they showed the incident. West was actually punched by another Hawthorn player first, then Dixon had a go and West buckled to the ground. The ball was nowhere near them.

Well if the AFL dont look at, why haven't the board members of the Western Bulldogs said any thing? West looked to be in a litle bit of pain when he went down and i tink even and umpire came out to have a look?

I cant believe nothing has been done or said about it.

Not one but two players behind the play tried to take him out. It was really quite pathetic. Especially since he was just getting up from the first behind the play incident only to be taken out again.

How much does West have to take before they do anything about it?

Well the main thing Westy was ok to continue to play the game. Now if it had been some one like Buckley it would of been already delt with.

Apparantly the AFL have investigated it and found that nobody had a case to answer.

Saw the replay as well on Fox Footy, looked like Dixon tried to stop Westy from running off by putting his arm out to stop him, must have connected to his stomach, causing Westy to be winded, not really a strike as such, but should have been a free.

On the other hand, Monty was very very lucky imo to recieve a repremand for his head high bump on Spider, ran in off the square and took him out whilst Everitt had his head down, and as soon as i saw it on the replay, i was thinking, D-Mac to make his debut!

Scotty was on Sports Tonight on 10. He made light of the incident but you could tell he wasn't best pleased. I think he's nursing a few bruised ribs.

akin to being belted with a piece of wet lettuce, couldn't believe he didn't get a free when bateman tried to take him out. Two tough footballers those two.

Yes, its really quite pathetic. I hope Eade or someone made a point of translating to the AFL that this sort of thing should not be tolerated, and im unsure, but what sort of legal issues may possibly arise from illegal hits on players behind the play, that aren't dealt with by the AFL itself? Surely and assult, or something else could be done. Its not good enough by the AFL.

If Westy has been injured and can't perform to his usual standard the next week or 2, i for one, will be very angry.

Same hear, if Westy cant perform to his 110% best due to an injury from the hits, I think that the AFL should re-look at the issue of behinde play hits.
