Why don't you trade him for a high profile forward ? Jones is a champion midfielder but is of no use to you with Kerr, Judd, Cousins in the middle. Rowan Jones could win a brownlow if he was playing in another side, and you guys need a quality KPP!

For a start we have loads of quality KPP's, the problem is that they are inexperienced - only time will fix that. Trading for quality KPP's isn't easy - they are rarely on the market, and if they are worth trading for we would have to give up a much better player than Jones.

Jones couldn't win a brownlow - he is too inconsistent, his handballing is a bit dodgey and he can't kick a footy more than 40m.

On the plus side Rowan works very hard, is a great tackler, has been excellent at half forward this year and can be thrown into the midfield to rest another player. He is also a good on-field leader. He adds greatly to the Eagles depth. I expect he will be in and out of the side this year and if we get injuries come finals time he will come in very handy.

Okay, thanks, we'll take Mark Williams. I'm holding you to that!

Winning a Brownlow is a bit rich.

As much as we all love Rojo he just isnt Brownlow material.
If he played 22 games in the regular season he would probably standout in poss 2 maybe 3 games. Im not trolling on him its just the way it is.

But we would give him up for M.Williams for sure :thumbsu: :)

You would struggle to find a midfielder who isn't a tagger, who has less traits associated with winning a brownlow. He also wouldn't have a lot of trade value. He is an awesome depth player, who is a leader on and off the field and just a great guy to have around the club. In a trade we wouldn't get a player that would add as much to the side as Rojo does IMO.

Reminds me of a Lego Man, damn that bald patch too, it sticks out like dogs balls, I can see it from the other side of the groud when he is at the bottom of the pack

Back to the question, he is too old to have any great trade value, he reminds me of James McDonald from Melbourne, great tackler, good at the hard ball but poor disposal will always let him down. A good player, deserves more respect on this board. It seems the rest of yous are just following what that Gunnar bloke has said about him without forming a real opinion of ya own.

That's because nobody here is allowed to form an opinion that differs to Gunnar's and get away with it peacefully.

I dont think we should even worry about Mark Williams dont rate him that much doesnt like the hard ball and just isnt big enough to be called a kpp.
