he isnt much use to a bottom four side you would think. He might go alright down at catland as we have the most chance of this being a one year slide, ala WC, crows, melbourne etc. But how we have been playing i wouldnt think so. For the dons though, waste of time I would think.

How can he come back to Victoria, if he has always been a Queenslander?

Somebody is trying to start a rumour and they have made a absolute meal out of it.

I think he grew up (Primary School age), up on the border somewhere, before moving the Queensland.

That I can confirm!!!! He lived in Mildura, which is in Victoria, and not NSW like some fools think. I know this as I'm from there as well.

If its a PSD option you'd have to consider it, Essendon and Geelong fans are sick of losing and he is a great player still

i remember he was quoted in saying some where that he would love to play under keven sheedy one day just to see how his brain works, dunno if he was taking the **** or not, but how can he be bad for the club, he brings publicity, but at least he backs up what he speaks

Akermanis is a victorian by birth, just like Voss.
because he plays football for Brisbane Lions hardly makes him a queenslander.

Akermanis will stay in Brisbane until end of 2007 season. I hope Essendon try to get Woewodin though, he still has a good 3 years left in him quite easily. Give Blumfield a Senior Contract and try to Michael Gardiner as he is obviously on the outer over in Eagleland.

Trade Kepler Bradley and a 3rd round draft pick for the Lad. :thumbsu:

1st Pick - Bryce Gibbs
2nd Pick - Shane Woewodin
3rd Pick & Bradley swapped for Michael Gardiner

That is how I want it to evolve come trade week :thumbsu:

why ? Michael Gardiner was a previous All-Australian Ruckman wasn't he in the last couple of seasons ? He'd be better than Hille to be honest. And why not Woewodin ? he is averaging over 30 possessions a game in the wafl ...

Still has a good 3 years left in his legs, We wont have to lose or trade anyone to get him either. A freebie of sorts. A great gamble in my opinion.

And no I never started the Sack Sheedy website, get your facts right 1st you Johnny Come Lately type person.

And of course I am serious, otherwise I would not have typed it

Gardiner , was and i repeat was an All Australian. Is now a player who has bung knees and off field problems.I wouldnt give up a third rounder for him let alone Bradley and a pick.

Woewodin, big deal he is getting 30 touchs in the WAFL. Pev has averaged 30 possessions in the VFL when he has played for Bendigo. We have enough average paced midfielders aged around 30.

You really dont have any idea do you?

What Essendon need is a big bodied clearence player, and due to Sheedy's love of old Carlton players ...

Then that is a little concerning.

You want to give up second and third round draft picks in the best draft ever for a bloke that can't make the grade anymore and a bloke who was told he wasn't welcome at his current club for a period of time and had to train by himself.

The 2001 draft is currently rated the best by the experts, these are some of the blokes drafted in the 2nd and 3rd rounds -
Matt Maguire, Mark Seaby, Ashley Hansen, Steve Johnson, Sam Mitchell, among others. That is the type of quality we could get in this draft.

If we really wanted to get Woewodin, it wouldn't cost us a 2nd round pick. Remember this is a bloke that got overlooked in two drafts, thats about 80 picks, by 16 clubs last season. We could get him with our last pick.

We're probably going to lose abit of experience this year with the likely delistings/retirements of Rioli, Peveril and quite possibly Hird.

If we got Aker for a could price then he would be a excellent pick up.

Not Woewodin, he hasn't got much to offer.
He proved last year that the game at the highest level is beyond him. He is carving up the WAFL because the game is played at his pace.

National Draft: Bryce Gibbs.

This is correct.

Aker and Sheeds have actually spent more time together off the field than most know. Also, in 2004 (i think), he was actually asked to write a series of 6 articles about 'inside the mind of aker' or similar for the Bomberland website. Sadly, Lethal got involved and stopped it happening and he felt it was against Akers contract and detrimental to their teams image; fair enough too.

Interesting all in all.

I would never, ever wish Akermanis to be involved with my club in any way, shape or form. AFL coverage in QLD is constantly bombarded with his arrogance and immaturity, and he's the sole reason that two of my best mates, who are league/union fans, refuse to have anything to do with AFL. Personally it's been hard enough trying to get used to Camporeale in the red and black after hating him for so long, but I think it would truly be physically impossible for me to ever enjoy watching akermanis playing for Essendon.

I think most people would now know where I stand on the issue? :o
