Interesting Stats Regarding Quarters Won

Saints need to work on their second quarters, but the figures for final quarters indicates to me that the Saints are one of the fittest teams in the competition. Melbourne is a surprise in the 3rd quarter. Kangaroos may be headed down going on those stats too.

Stkildonan, Saints quarter time stats are no new news.

St kilda has probably won 3rd quarters during 2005 more than anybody else. What's heartening to see is that we've also won a lot of 4th quarters this year.

Of course, the first two quarters are a worry. Lenny was always good at setting us up for a few goals early, and that helped.

The critical number for st kilda is the half time score. If st kilda is less than 18 points difference at half time, I can say, 90% of the time, St Kilda will win the match. As such, good defensive ability is the key during the 1st 2 quarters. We need the defenders to step up big time.
