Great article in "The Hun" today on Scott West

Scott West (http://www.heraldsun.news.com.au/footy/common/story_page/0,8033,19418416%255E19742,00.html)

One paragraph from the article...sums up how important Eade is to the players....

HAD Rodney Eade not accepted the Western Bulldogs' coaching role last year, Scott West says football may have been a game he used to play as opposed to one he still plays with great distinction.

Unbelievable article that, quite frankly, really got to my soft side and it makes you realise how valuable he is to the club. Jon Anderson just said what every bulldog supporter has been thinking for years.

"Twenty five times a game he gets the ball and they aren't those nonsense touches across half-back when players kick the ball backwards to teammates."

So true. Although my favourite part was talking about his "three boys".
Would be great to see a 30 year dynasty of the name West at the Whitten Oval, throwing in Lamby to provide the link to West Jnr.

Another outstanding feat by West is playing 286 games out of a possible 304, only 18 games that he has missed from the start of his career. His commitment has been outstanding to the club.

What a legend of the game and team Westy is and deserves all the credit he gets.

No reason he can't go on for a few more seasons.

I've noticed him a bit more this season with his clever play - sucking opposition players in and giving those over the head handballs.

Whats the odds of him breaking the all time games record for the dogs??

Westy has a great chance of breaking the games record for us, but Johnno will smash that record as he is younger and is very close to the amount that Westy has played.

No worries Gilbo_Fan anytime. Great article it really shows some insight into his thought about his football, love reading stuff like that.

I missed this one Aqua! Thanks for the link - a great read. We're so lucky to have Westy play for our Club. I think he's Griffen's mentor too.
