Mark Le Cras - Pathetically soft, ive seen some soft players in my time but this guy makes Andrew McDougall look like a ox, he got knocked over called for a stretcher then waived it away cos he felt like playing, wont play a game for the Eagles ever again IMO unless he refinds his testicles. Kicked two goals, Hurn moved on him and TOWELLED him up like no other. Le Cras didnt chase him and Hurn ragdolled him on all occassions. Very disappointing and IMO in line for delisting/trading next season. Ill say a good thing or two, improved disposal too a point where its very good, reads the play well.

Shannon Hurn - Towelled up Le Cras and getting better each and every week, getting over his OP for sure, launched a few torps apparantly, wud like to see it on video. Very impressed with this bloke, gets better and better and better, so much room for improvement too, Will be a constant best 22 player for us next year I reckon. Peels best yet again. 3 goals 26 possessions

Michael Gardiner - Best on ground for Claremont, ran and ran and ran some more, dominated in the centre, bagged a goal and really did little wrong. A few more weeks like that and he will be back in the team I reckon. 25 possessions 13 marks, really helped out his defenders by tracking back too

Mitch Morton - Went forward and was awesome kicked 6 goals and was there focal point, has the tendency to try and take mark of the year every time he plays, last two games hes knocked himself senseless trying to take a hanger hence two poor weeks for him but not trying for mark of the year saw him put in a consistent game. A good player and better option then Samps IMO

Brett Jones - A man in a boys game, is so far above and beyond WAFL level, it stands out every time you watch him play, he runs his opponents off his feet he outmuscles them and destroys EVERY single opponent he has been given. Too good for WAFL and he shows it week in week out. Another dominant display in defence like always. 19 possessions 9 marks and his opponent goalless, bring him in Woosh

Ashley Sampi - 16 possessions 3 marks 1 goal, wasnt alot for him to do today cos South Freo forwards held all there marks, looked good in the middle but he cud barely run out a whole quarter in the WAFL, a llooooooooooooooooong way to go to get back into the team

Travis Gaspar - Owned by Merrington, ended up with 12 possessions 7 marks, a player who starts of good and in the last half will really fade out, got a inkling he is carrying something serious.

Andrew McDougall - One of Perths best, lead all day at CHF, took down like 19 marks (7 contested) and kicked a goal incl. a few contested grabs which is nice to see, the week of did him good it seems, one of his best games all year.

Ben McKinley - 12 possessions 4 marks 2 goals, not happy Jan (both goals snapped from 10m out). The a excellent tackler and puts a ton of defensive pressure, his tackling is the best part of his game. Clearly struggles with OP, he cant kick for goal during a game because of it, its obvious, I cant understand why he isnt getting it fixed.

Steve Armstrong - Won plenty of the ball (30 odd possessions again), still isnt doing enough with it, but is slowly improving. Good footy smarts he has IMO

Sam Butler - 22 possessions no goals, apparantly he looked a little bit sore, still making his way back so just gotta be patient. Believe it or not 22 possession is his lowest ever WAFL possession tally. Shows what a gun he normally is at that level

Ashley Thornton - Good defender IMO with a good spoil, too bad he cant kick use his body or run out a whole game.

Ben Sharp - Tagged out of the game but limped pretty much the whole way through the game, another player clearly injured but still going along. Very poor year for him and has taken steps back, not much of a chance to be promoted, hes just too skinny for AFL footy and cant seem to put on the mass. Still the best game he has played in a month though and was a bit more accountable then normal which is good to see.

Another excellent WAFL report Embers :). Nice change from you being a parrot-rip-off over on the AFL/Bay 13 boards.

P.S Are you going to tomorrow's game?

EDIT: Shame to hear Kinners is ingnoring his OP. He needs to get it fixed pronto. I want him kicking goals dammit! Lecca is as soft as ****e.

EDIT #2: Went to the Perth game, Doogs' "goal" was actually a point from 10m out. The commentators and the crowd all saw it sail through the big and little posts and I could see Doogs knew he'd missed but carried on like he kicked it and the goal umpire gave him a goal :D. In the dying stages of a game decided by a goal :o.

EDIT #3: Butler didn't do anything extraordinary today, didn't kick a goal and was down on last week's game. 20-odd possessions I think. Hard to tell though, when Juddy got 38 I only thought he got like 20 :o

Didnt sound like Butler did much from what I heard (or didnt hear), I was wondering if he even played for a while there.

Ive heard how soft Le Cras is but he really made it obvious today, on another note I saw Adam Hunter down at the shops today, his face still looks banged up, damn that wudda cained

Imagine if he'd fallen to his right sideways into the concrete edge  .

P.S: A few weeks back, I watched a WP game. Lecca did not make one tackle, made no defensive pressure and when his man had the ball a few metres from him, he jsut stood there and let him run on. Think it might have been the Claremont/WP game. Won't get a game at WC until he pulls his finger out. You heard it here first ;)

EDIT: Now I think about it, Butler probably had around 10-20 touches. Looks a little sore/tired after last weeks game.

EDIT #2: Out of curiosity, what shops did you see him at?

Posts like this make you look like an arse clown. The West Perth game was on telly today and Le Cras was actually pretty good - his use of the footy is sublime - a couple of stab passes to leading forwards were extremely inpressive.

The thing abouth this post that ****ed me off is when you bagged LeCras for calling for a stretcher. The fact is he didn't call for a stretcher - he might have BUT HE WAS BLOODY WELL KNOCKED OUT AT THE TIME. He copped a shoulder to the head from a mistimed bump (LeCras never took his eye off the footy) and the bloke was reported. He actually got off the stretcher before it left the ground, despite the potests of the West Perth medical staff.

Embers, if you aren't sure - ask for input from others.

I WENT to the West Perth game, he was hopeless in the defensive side of the game, something we need. I watched him all day and went out of my way to do so. He set up a few goals and I never said his disposal wasnt good (its his strength) but he did NO chasing no defensive pressure and let his opponent run free, he was also physically manhandled on alot of occassions

A bit harsh on the whole stretcher situation I was but before he went on it he put his head up and said he was fine, why the hell did he get on it then. Seemed like a very stupid thing at the time and it still does, why get on it when your fine.....

His game infuriated me, as silly as it sounds he reminded me of Callum Chambers, so similiar infact it was ridiculous

On other news Doogs got 30 possessions, dang, I knew he had a good game but didnt realise it was that good, thats a breathtaking performance really. 19 marks!!!!!!

Mitch Morton should play next week last 2 out of 3 games has had very big games, awesome talented player just needs the opportunites that others get.

Mckinley best attribute defensive side??? the guy has never put in a chase since hes been playing wafl.

Morton just oozes class, shud of mentioned one of those six goals was surely goal of the year banana kick from the boundary. Very talented player, id say one of the very few players we have that can do the freakish things on a weekly basis

McKinley does have a surprising amount of tackles under his belt when I looked at it. Its the only stat that stands out to me. Its bout the only thing hes ok at atm. Clearly has OP, poor form by everyone to keep allowing him to play

What you got against McKinley? geez from playing with the boy and against the boy he has what it takes to be a star... in his last season of TAC he recognised that speed wasnt his best attribute so he saw the essendon speed coach and tried to rectify this problem. He has the commitment and all in the west should be wrapt with what he will become! If not send him home to Yarrambat and we'll have him at Carlton! If Carlton dont want him we'll definately find him a spot in the Old Ivanhoe seniors!

McDougall finally hitting a bit of form. (about time Andrew !) Maybe a chance to come into the senior side if Hansen's form is down ?
