View Full Version : Gretel ... gone?
Read in the Sunday Mail today that the Ch.10 execs are sick of the way she conducts herself and the attitude toward male housemates, and want to replace her for next year.
Please happen. :thumbsu:

It's taken this long for them to get tired of her feminist bull$hit?
Is it just me, or are television executives the stupidest people on Earth? For the love of... It doesn't take a genius to figure out that Gretel is one of the worst - and most disliked - hosts on television. Her contract is up at the end of the series - and while the series will probably be brought back as long as it continues to suck the kiddies into voting fifty times a week, a different host is almost a given.

Mike Goldman?
:thumbsd:
I would love to see Gretel go, she is so amateurish it's a joke. Although if she left I reckon that would spell the end of Big Brother. For some reason Gretel and Big Brother go hand in hand.
As a possible replacement. AJ Rochester impressed me in the Biggest Loser, I could see her hosting Big Brother.

Oh yes please!
Get the feminist hag out.
Mike seems like a relaxed, see what happens type of guy on Uplate, but if he were to be given the main job, he would take it seriously. I remember when i went to an eviction, the crowd was goin crazy and he got on the mic and went crazy. Was very strange.

Ryan Fitzgerald to be new host :thumbsu: . That would be better than Goldman, and then Anna can join him, and Bree on Friday Night Live.

In case the story gets archived, I'll post the lot here.
Is Gretel next evictee? (http://dailytelegraph.news.com.au/story/0,20281,19427288-5001028,00.html)
IT could soon be time to go, Gretel Killeen.
The Sunday Telegraph can reveal that production company Endemol Southern Star is unhappy with the Big Brother host, after several unscripted outbursts.
An Endemol Southern Star employee, who wished to remain anonymous (credible?), said Killeen's recent on-air stoush with evictee Michael had raised questions about her future with the Network Ten series.
The argument came after an earlier eviction in which Killeen was angry with production staff for giving her a blank cue card. "The producers certainly weren't happy with that performance," the employee told The Sunday Telegraph. "There's a general feeling here that this could be her last season hosting."
Network Ten's head of production and development Tim Clucas, said the claims were "rubbish".
"Big Brother is rating through the roof and in television you don't mess with something that's working," Clucas said. "We would not envisage changing something as fundamental to the show, especially the host."
Clucas explained that Killeen was simply defending the show and did not "attack" Michael.
"She's not a read this, take the money and go home sort of host," Clucas said. "Michael believed the show was edited a certain way (suggesting he had kissed gay housemate David) and Gretel's first response was to defend."
Michael said he remained upset by Killeen's antics.
"I've never had any media training and going on a set like that I'm automatically on the back foot," he said. "I was disappointed with her coming at me like that."
Michael, who said he would now return to his university studies, believed Killeen had tarnished her future with the program.
"She likes to rule the roost and is on a power trip," he said. "Part of that is her role on the show but I also think she's been there too long.
"There has to be a change of guard at some time and seeing what's happened this year, I don't think (Endemol) Southern Star and Channel 10 would be going in the wrong direction by going with someone else."
I wanna do her hard so I can throw her to the curb like every other male has done
Please let this be the last season she is the host of BB. At first I didn't like Mike Goldman, but he has grown on me since i've been watching up late.

There must be a guy out there laughing to himself knowing he is the result of Gretel's man-hating persona. She musta been dogged pretty good to turn out the way she did.

Should be Guus Hiddink.
I hate how she always refers back to how she has kids like that somehow qualifies her to overrule or talk over the person shes interviewing. She must have been screwed over by quite a few guys to be as bitter as she is.
