Staker

Has done little since his knee injury scare.

Very good player when on song and will be a brilliant KPP in 3-5 years time.

For me, his last 3 weeks have been below par.

Is he in danger of losing his spot? A rest in the WAFL perhaps?

On the positive, he does offer flexibility and went down back in the last qtr or so and did okay.

Hansen is closer to being dropped IMO.
Staker has a great overhead grab, and has the agility of a midfielder at ground level. I think his development is coming along nicely.

Seaby is in far more danger than Staker will ever be. Staker at least offers something around the ground.

Hansen has been very good IMO. Didn't have his greatest game today but who did.

I think a lot of people are going to be on notice after that performance.

Whitnall gave Hansen an absolute bath today and exposed his weaknesses badly. For the second week in a row Hansen took almost no part in the game after half time. Could be a combination of form and an inability to run out games, which has afflicted him his entire career.

Hansen's biggest issue is still his lack of abilty to take a contested mark - for a bloke his size he should take a lot more.

I doubt either Hansen or Staker will be droppped, but McDougall did take 19 marks this week (admittedly it was against East Freo)

Staker is nowhere near being dropped??

I dont think that Brent will be dropped this weekend.

Far too important to our setup, with our much maligned forward struggling for periods of each game to date. Taking Stakes out would cause more harm than good I feel.

I reckon he's got too much bulk at the moment.

Slim him down a bit and hope it improves his non-existant mobility.

I can't see Staker being dropped as he allows for the option to swing Hunter forward when needed. Seaby and Hansen are the ones that need to keep performing to hold their spots.

Yea Hansen out this week...he went missing after half time last week. I rate him though, just needs a bit more strength in the 1-on-1's. Once Graham develops further and can hold down a key back position, they could move Hunter up forward permanently. The CHF position has a number of contenders which is good, you could also stick any of them at FF too but the big unit is getting better as time goes on.

Staker looked good this week.
He was strong over head and he was presenting well.
I think he could have done some damage if had gotten the delivery from our midfield.

Thats the $60,000 question, isn't it?

Our delivery, all year, into the Forward area is shocking.

In relation to Staker, I really do rate him and I think his best is still some 5 years away. I started this thread, not to rip into him, but I thought he was lacking a little bit of conhfidence.

He looked great on the weekend.

The priority for him is to stack it on hard at the gym over the next few years.
