I'ld love to see Hunter up forward for 4 quarters of footy. His bag of four was pretty damn good on Sundays game. He kicked an awesome goal on a very tight angle from a set shot in the last quarter to help bring us back in it, and his other two in that quarter where nothing to sneeze at either.
In the last 2 weeks when the chips where down, Hunter was sent forward and came in solid to bag a few goals. Maybe hes our answer to a consistant leading forward.

would probably happen in a final rather than a H/A game
Hansen out, Embley Hunter Chick deap and Lynch a little a further up the ground with Staker

I agree, I think Graham is doing a superb job down the back and should take over Hunter as our CHB.
Lynch should be moved into a HFF position, as he plays with much more confindence when he is further up the field.
And Hunter should be at FF
How I would line the team up barring no injuries and on form is:
Back Banfied Glass Wirra
Half Back Niko Graham Stinger
Centre Braun Cuzz Fletch
Half FwdLynch Hansen Embers
Fwd Sampi Hunter Staker
Ruck Cox Kerr Judd
Int Gards Selwood Waters Chick

That line up is probably too small down back and too tall up forward. Generally when Hunter goes forward Staker or Lynch go back, so we would need to think about that move if Hunter was to start at FF.

I think that Graham will get first crack at Tredrea. Hunter has played on him with distinction in the past, at least with have at least 2 good options. Stewie Dew and Burgoyne need attention, they are good player and need to be shut down, who will get a job? Stenglein, Chick, Jones? Other than that our midfield is stronger and as long as we continue to honour leads of kick to the goalsquare with Lynch and a few other talls in our forward line we should be in with a good chance. Against Port at AAMI, nothing short of a FOUR QUARTER EFFORT will do.

I think Hunter thrives in the pinch hitting role, and wouldn't play as well if he was a permanent forward. He's also too valuable down back. Keep his role as it is now.

You never know unless we play him there for the whole game one of these days. I say next week. :thumbsu:

And if that doesn't work, and we're down by five goals, we can throw his down back as a pinch hitter! ;)

It's worth exploring. Graham has been reliable in pretty much every role he's been given all season, so he can fill CHB well, while Lynchy does look great at CHF, as he has more room to move. Obviously Hansen hasn't been playing that well, but he's pretty tall. What chance of big Ash doing a bit of ruckwork to ease Cox's load (those last two words need to be taken in context)? That way, Seaby could have a WAFL spell, Hunter up forward and Lynchy at CHF. Lynch can spend some time in the ruck (if Hansen cannot), and it still offers a bit of flexibility to the side (ie. Graham up forward, down back or in the ruck; Lynch up forward, down back or in the ruck; Hunter forward or back; Hansen forward or maybe ruck; Staker forward or back).
I think relying on throwing Hunter forward late will come unstuck against the better teams late in the season and into finals, as it's becoming a well-know Plan B.
