James Clement was outstanding. Unfortunately, we already knew that

Nothing else to write home about, maybe Dids

Ok you have my attention jackass! Fraser is picked as a ruckmen we were smashed in the HO's and clearances today, and as much as you love to take it up the arse from Josh alot of the blame must fall on him. He was comprehensively beaten in the ruck, sure he can do good things at ground level and take marks up forward but if he isnt helping our smalls win the ball around him then he is useless! Your may get back on your knees and suckle the great man once again, maybe if you suck harder he will have a good game after the break!

I thought Cloke was brave. He did the hard yards in the first half.

Yes but in the first half he wasnt bad tried hard, than was frustrated that he makes position runs hard and is not used, if u go 2 the games u can see he works hard and isnt rewarded 4 it, and the likes of lica shaw tarks f uck around with the ball to make there stats look good boy it annoys the f uck out of me. So from half way threw the 3rd they couldnt win and josh spent more time on the bench. White gets cheap possies anyway i watched him all day.

Yes but he is a butcher of the ball.

Didak 8-10, he was the only viable option in the forward half........he also would have had another 5 or so score assists today

Clement 8-10, didn't sight robbo all day, clement out marked him one-on-one repeatedly and easily, firming for a third consecutive AA is jimmy

those would be the only two players who put in a performance of any significance

presti, pendles & leon get pass marks

the rest were pathetic

what happened to our leaders?? Still waiting for bucks or ant to actually impose themselves on the game.

worst thing was how it was back to 04-05 with taz, with many passes dropping short & sailing over his head, can see in his body language that it frustrates him

HUGE game against sydney in a fortnight, pies need to show this was simply an off day if they have any hope of a top4 finish

Good players...

8 Didak -
7 Clement

Thin pickings from the rest, but...

5 Burns
5 Davis
5 Prestigiacomo

Youngsters

-Thomas was ordinary in the first three quarters, but played well in the last when he showed some of the run that was so impressive earlier in the season
-Pendlebury made a couple of awful clangers, but got a lot of the ball. Is much more willing to scrap inside for the ball than some reports had led me to believe. Also knows where to run. Has actually acquitted himself well when given the chance in the centre square. Impressive.
-Heath got plenty of it, but made some bad mistakes. His worst game of the year. (Didn't stop running, though)
-Rest were ordinary.

I have to say that Rhyce or even Harry would have been handy to throw on Davey after he cut Lockyer to shreds early.

8 - Didak
8 - Clement
6 - Davis
6 - Burns
5 - Fraser

Fraser ordinary - pfft, from where I was sitting, he wasn't ordinary, he did all he could. On the train home, he came up in a limited amount of players who qualified for a 'passable' game. I think you are looking into Jeff White's stats too much!

Where you at the game? O'Bree was useless, Davis came in and out of the game. Clement was best by the length of the Great Wall of China! Dids was our only forward that looked like kicking goals. Burns faught hard and Fraser was ok.

Fraser (poor at hitouts but important possesions around ground), Lica (got plenty but not effective enough) and Pendlebury (tried his hardest and got a few good possesions out of the pack and was good with the 1%ers) are the only ones even close to a 4. T.Cloke was ok too. But with the number of contests Neitz was involved in Presti deserves the final votes.

I'm not a MM basher but I feel sorry for Rowe. Rowe needs to play a loose role and not have to worry about his oponent. It was a mistake by MM to play him on Johnstone and then left him in the HFF and even as a 2nd/3rd tall where he died of starvation. Rowe battled hard all day and his disposal was much better (he still does that stupid around the shoulder big wind up kick). It was rather strange how many times Rowe was left to battle against 2-4 demons with his nearest teammate too far away. In that respect in the contested situations he went well.

My changes would be out Iacobucci (I'm a rap but out of his depth, needs to be developed through the squad slowly), Morrison (had a shocker, just when he looks handy he has these sorts of games) and perhaps Thomas for another rest, although there is no Willy game, I'd rather he played this weekend.

Put T.Cloke in defence while Maxwell is out, bring in another ruckman. We may be a little top heavy but if Fraser spends around 50% time out of the ruck and in forwardline/defence it won't hurt us.
