After watching a replay of Sats match I noticed that Greg Stafford plays the role of decoy rather well.
I know his kicking has been unacceptable but how is that any different to the guy we usually rely on?
On numerous occassions Staff played the contested ball from a defensive perspective, allowing secondary plays to be executed either on the crum or by loose ball.In that sense i guess he is more contrived than operating on raw enthusiasm, which can be a good thing provided u can pull it off.
What he does do that i really like is he smashs guys, knees them, elbows them in the face etc.
Basically the guy is a dog.
We need a dog.
Intimidation in the forward line is a huge neccessity.
While Richos brand of footy is exciting we all know that @ the end of the day it can equate to either nothing or the difference,
Given this math I have to say that we should keep Staff at ff until Rich is able to return.
Who knows,he may play himself into some consistent form resulting in a deadly tall fwd line to work with and around.
