Just wondering, cause I know how much you guys really don't like the Chad, what did you give up to get him back in...04 was it? Hopefully that won't come back to bite you in the ass if you gave up a pick or something to West Coast.

Bad luck on Monday btw, you'll bounce back, injuries are a painus in the anus, can't wait for September...Hopefully

From memory it was a 4 club deal between the Pies, Hawks, Roos and Eagles.
Collingwood traded Bo Nixon and pick 7 to hawks and picked up Chad Morrison from WCE and pick 10 from Kangaroos. Collingwood picked up Chris Egan with pick 10 and Hawthorn Jordan Lewis with no.7.

Pick 7 from Collingwood to Hawthorn,Bo Nixon from Collingwood to Hawthorn , Hawthorn's pick 37 to West Coast , Collingwood's pick 10 to Hawthorn.

Pick7-Jordan Lewis
Pick8-John Meesen
Pick9-Jordan Russel
Pick10-Chris Egan.

It was argued that we would have selected the same player with pick 7 or pick 10 , whether this is entirely true we will never know. Hopefully Egan gets himself in a state of mind where he can be a good contributor for us , he seemed to turn the corner last week in the 2's.
As for Chad , he is just marking time , no doubt just like Chad it will go slowly.

KANG - Nathan Thompson
HAW - Pick 10 (Chris Egan), Pick 26 (Matt Little)

HAW - Bo Nixon, Pick 7 (Jordan Lewis)
COLL - Pick 10 (Chris Egan), Pick 37 (Mark LeCras)

COLL - Chad Morrison
WCE - Pick 37 (Mark LeCras)

No real 4-way deal, just the way we got the deal from Hawthorn which resulted in the draft pick to be used to pick up Chad Morrison, but I am pretty sure it was known at the time from both clubs that one of the picks would ensure Chad Morrison. Overall, it seems that Bo Nixon was departed for Chad Morrison, considering we were most likely to pick up Chris Egan anyway.

Egan, what a pick that has proven to be!

There was talk that the Maggies would take Matthew Bate with its first pick. if only the talk became reality.

That isn't the same thing.

No, it was argued (or at least implied) that the player we wanted was going to be available at 10. Egan was the player we wanted (rightly or wrongly), and therefore Morrison cost us Bo Nixon.

19 year old, Egan will be a good player IMO, but it is going to take time, he has a ****load of talent, let's see if the risk pays off, but it is too soon to have such pessimistic views.

Egan has talent but he is indigineous, and a small forward. He will alwas be inconsistent, and never be suited to VFL football. So, his career will be cut short unless he proves himself in the big stage, if not, very dissapointed.

Agree, people expect every draft pick to be a Judd

So all indigenous small forwards are inconsistent - is that what you are saying?
If that is not what you are saying - what has the colour of his skin got to do with it?

Are some non-indigenous forwards also inconsistent or is it only relevent to black skin?

A good suggestion that you should consider taking up.
Forget about the colour of someone's skin, it is not relevant to anything in football.

You will learn this when you grow up

Had nothing to do with colour. Indigeneous does not mean colour.
