Hey guys, just wondering what the key matchups you think are, and who will go to who.
My key matchups:
Wakelin - Lynch
Staker - Chaplin
Tredrea - Glass?
White - Hunter
Lade when pushed forward?
Embley - Pettigrew
K. cornes will probably run with Cousins
Cassisi may run with Kerr?
We went with one less tall, the plan must be too run run run which is good. We play too tall anyway so it wont have a massive influence
Chad Cornes - Stenglein (whether defence or middle)
Tredrea - Hunter (test that knee out)
White - Glass
Lade - Graham (more then capable IMO)
Staker - Chaplin
Lynch - Wakelin (run up the ground you will smash him with ball at ya feet)
Selwood - Shaun Burgoyne (looks like the matchup from his training this week)
If Eagles chose to play Graham up forward would that force someone else back, whose your third tall defender??? Is Ware a forward??
ware is a forward/winger player. Pretty quick, goalsneeky player.
Havne't seen him play however, but must be special. He was listed as an emergency 2 or 3 weeks ago, came to the game late, then showed up to training drunk.... got an internal suspension for 2 weeks, and is now getting a game. Interesting :p
Our talls in defence would be Wakelin, Chaplin, Cornes (i get the feeling he will be in defence, as there is no real replacement for Bishop), Pettigrew.
Graham on Lade? Jaymie Graham? I don't think that would work out for you guys, Lade is in great form, and is a great contested mark. Even a proper full back struggles on him one on one.

Yep, Jaymie Graham would have to be the one who takes Lade first IMO as he's the tallest of our backs at 195cm. Glass is listed as 192 and Hunter is 190, which makes me feel uneasy about them taking Lade who's listed at 199cm. If Graham does get beaten by Lade though, then we could re-jig it to get Glass on him (I'd back Graham to do well on White) even though he conceeds height.
hmm so i think it would be pretty safe to say that Hunter would not be moving forward unless it was absolutely necessary.
You seem a little stretched for height in defence.

i didnt realise jaymie was 195cm! lol
Would West Coast tag Salopek or have someone like Chad Fletcher go head to head with him?
