Stupid stupid move. You will see why tonight. Are we trying to lose this game? Does anyone actually think those 2 will do anything tonight?

Rosa got concussion last week and they are not risking him. Fair enough.
Hansen has been out of form and they want to give him a run in the WAFL. Fair enough.
Priddis has been in great form all year and did well against Geelong.
Hurn has been in good WAFL form and this is a great chance to let him play in front of his family and friends at home. The eagles realise the importance of such things.
It will be damp tonight, it always is at AAMI. Therefore the game will be played less in the air, hence no real need for an out of form Hansen. Priddis will suit the conditions.

All good points Sinapari.
I reckon it's great that in a year in which we are positioning ourselves for a tilt at a premiership we are still able to develop our list. Augurs well for the future.
Priddis was very unlucky to miss out after his debut and Hurn has shown all the hallmarks of being a great player for a long time.
Should be more of it.

By the looks of the selections
Hunter starts at CHF, something i'm sure many have wanted to see
Graham starts at CHB. Great test against Tredrea
Priddis showed vs Geelong that his selection is warranted with Rosa out
Hurn in form and playing at home.
Hansen dropping was a surprise but as with Sampi
If your not in great form, your position is not guaranteed no matter how important you may be structure wise.
Overall
Considering the game is at Aami stadium which is normally very dewy at night
Can't see any problems with the list selected

great post. spot on :thumbsu:
I'm more than prepared to back the coaching committee in their decisions, they know what they're doing.

Like in the GF
Seriously I doubt the 2 will get > 20 possessions between them. They just don't fit into our style of play....yet. You'll see tonight, HtBs and turnovers. Hurn has such a long kick, yes, so why does he never bomb it? I can only remember doing it once for his first goal and he has done NOTHING since then.

Well I don't think a CHB is there to rack up posessions anyway, as long as he spoils tredders he will be OK. Personally I think it's a big ask of Graham as tredrea is very strong and I don't think Graham is capable of matching him in that dept just yet. Anyways, should be a good game.

Watched any WAFL this year?
Hurn does it frequently, but has had such limited game time in his 3 AFL appearances that he hasn't really had the opportunity to.
19 possessions and 7 tackles (Priddis first game stats) is quite alot of nothing. Port have much much more young players in there team then we do and they start them in the midfield. Not a problem

Hurn has only played 2 AFL games he fair on the guy and Priddis showed a hell of a lot of promise in his one and only AFL game. I think they are a good inclusion for Rosa and Hansen in the game, esp Hansen who hasnt had a great impact on any of the games recently.

16 disposals between them at 3qtr time if you wanna include the 2 turnovers for Hurn in that 3rd quarter  just not good enough.

so what's the alternative? Rosa couldn't play due to concussion.
We have to play young guys, and they will make mistakes. That's football.
He is a big part of our future.
How about actually supporting a player in only his 3rd game, rather than looking to point out every error.

HANSEN!!! You all seem to be forgetful of what he's capable of.

Well guys I hate to say I told you so, BUT THEY DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Hansen would have been much better. And I'm sick of our exaggerations on injuries.

I would have to see the stats but I thought that Priddis went hard all night and got a bit of the football. Some of his kicks aren't effective but he wasn't the worst player out there tonight.

Hansen wouldn't have played the same role as either of them so it's a moot point.

Hurn played well.
I agree.
Some of his body work on his much larger opponent (Dew) as the ball was coming in was fantastic. His poise and disposal down back makes me think he will be a good long term defender for us. In fact I think his disposal down back was far better than Beau Waters was.
Made the most of his limited time on ground.
I didnt think Priddis was too bad either, although that being said Im not sure who his direct opponent was. Im not sure that accountability is his forte.
