Stevie Milne has been disappointing this year. Only 12 goals in 11 games. He is an important player in our team and his poor form has probably hurt the team more than most people realise. Hopefully he can get back to his form of last year because we need some more avenues to goal.

I accidentally posted a thread twice so I canged this thread. Does anyone know if I can change the name of the thread?

yeh he hasnt been great, i would demote him to casey for the game agst hawthorn, he does make our best 22 but i reckon it would be a warning and hopefully he can come out agst the pies and do sum damage. he reminds me on neon leon, leon has stepped his game to the next level milne has a bit more time but should be seeking the same challenge

Milne would be fine if he was allowed to play his natural game. Getting dragged whenever he supposedly does something wrong has killed his confidence. He's a selfish goal sneak and should be allowed to play that way.

Good point. He is seeing far too much of the pine this year for my liking and playing him up the ground hasn't helped him. He is too good a player tobe played in bursts.

Milne is still a required part of our team but the Way our delivery to our key posts has been this year has hurt us there are no contests for him to crum to.

The game has changed. There are so few long kicks to a contested situation now that he is forced to change his role to become effective.
He does have a burst of speed and can do some useful things as an impact player, but he is not ideally suited to it. An uncanny kick for goal does not translate into a great kick to a leading player. Many of his kicks come up short - putting the leading player under enormous pressure. He needs to improve this aspect of his game immediately or the game will pass him by.
His game is definitely compromised by the loss of Hamill and Koschitzke. These two are probably our best two contested marks.

He should never be kicking to a leading player. He should never be more than 30m from goal and he should be the leading player.
Play him in his proper position and it doesn't matter how the game is played.
