It's good if you can go for the hard ball, but if you get it and pass it straight to the opposition, to an un-even contest againts your team's favour or pass it to a player under pressure then all the good work is undone.

Maybe he is just struggling because of his inexperience, but he really needs to play smarter football.

Agree, has to remember he is not playing at Subi, the pace of the game is catching him out.

From what I saw there wasn't many options for him to take.

Plenty of options.

The problem I've noticed in the game is that he passes it to almost the first eagle he see's.

He needs to compose himself, watch Kerr and Judd and learn from them, watch what they do when they grab the ball.

I am no using him as a scape goat by any means, I just don't see how you saw him as our second best player.

Effort mate. He was going in hard. I'll take that over someone like Fletcher seagulling his way to 20-30 possessions. Yes, I know you need receivers, but you need someone to get the pill to begin with, and he was having a go moreso than most of the side IMO. It's hard to compose yourself when you're tackled by 3 or 4 Port players as soon as you get the thing because no one is helping you out.
