You haven't met me yet - you might change your mind!!!!!

I am going to try and get to one of the 'meetings' at the club - are they now on Wednesday or Thursday?

Big Footy have a table every Wednesday night at the Port Club for the quiz, but on the 28th of June the Supporters Club will be having their mid year dinner at the quiz and we encourage everyone from Big Footy who can come to the night.

We're just spoilt..........it's hard to take 3-4 months of 28-32 during the day and 16-20 overnight little humidity......plenty of sun and maybe 3-4 days of rain in that time.

we encourage everyone from Big Footy who can come to the night.

Encourage me with an airfare and I'll be there......:D

Toots Hibbert and I just discovered we sit 3 rows apart. We saved a bit of band width (about half a dozen posts) shouting to each other last night. To the bemusement of about 50 Port supporters within earshot.

Sounds like he may be able to make it to one of the next two quiz nights so all is not lost.

I agree Bresh - you get a really different aspect of the game from the Northern Stand.

Blo*dy oath the southern end is better. Behind the goals so that you can see the whole ground. Much better view imo.

You will find a few of us at the Medallist Bar come half time. The whole back row of bay 142 is supporter club members. Pity they didnt direct you to where some of us were.

This Northern v Southern business is all "meh" I think. Centre wing outer side is where the real brains trust sits don't you think? :D

Wish we had some goal posts down our end

The wing is definitely the place to be seen. None of this "siberia" stuff where you don't see the play for much of the game.

Absolutely fine where I sit, Northern End basically right next to the members area and I have no problems seeing all the play from my front row seat.

Anyway the big screen is over rated, fine for a replay but if I wanted to watch it on a screen I would stay at home.

Thanks PP, it was great to meet some of "us" after the game.
We had planned to go to one of the quiz nights but unfortunately that wasn't possible in the end. We did manage to sneak in a dinner at the club though and that was good, but would have been even better with other people there to talk to.
Big big thanks to BD and yes it is a great spot to watch the footy from, ... BUT .... next time I'll have to buy some thermal jocks as I am now sure I wasn't meant to be an eskimo. Geesh it was cold. :o

I wont set foot south of Katherine at this time of the year. I remember having to sleep with a tracksuit and a jumper with the leccy blanket on full all night when I went to a conference in Adelaide a few Augusts ago.

But if you want a challenge, head up here for a few days in November. You think 40 degree days are hot?? I dare you to try out a couple of our 34 degree days with 100% humidity.... (BYO Beer and Bodybag)

Been up there in Mid November. The wet season is a real killer.

Thankfully found respite in the bars haha.
