View Full Version : Membership Numbers

Have found out from the Demonology website (which is soon to shut down:mad: ) that membership numbers have not even reached 5000. This must be of great concern when they want to reach 25000. I have not renewed my membership yet, but I probably will do so. Looks like the effectiveness of Joe has not quite left the club yet.

Get a life Dees 01.

The people with the job of getting members to join are Szondy and his mob - not Joe.

Szondy won the election and it's he and his bunch of no policy (except bag Joe whenever the could) clowns who bear the responsibility.

Ask them to get off their butts and generate the memberships.

When Joe was President the membership rose from 14,000 to a record of 21,500.

When Szondy & co. become accountable then they might star doing their job.

Things are going downhill faster than I thought. Back with the old board, back with the old style of leadership and back with the old membership numbers. Hopefully the on-field perfomances wont drop.

not surprising, i am seriously rethinking my membership this year too. I don't think Melbourne treated us as well last year as they had the previous year so they can earn back the members. Saying this though i will most likely renew lol

Banana Bender is a very intelligent person.
And I have read all his posts on here and on Demonology and he has never been offensive!
Just because he supported Melbourne First and not Zombie's Team, doesn't mean you have to pick on him.:(

Szondy has been in office since mid-may .... coming onto 3/4 year and things have been stagnant in all areas! (except the sledging!!)

Spidergirl, has made a good point in saying last year the supporters weren't treated well...and she is right!!

Going to be an interesting year off and on the field
:D

Cheers

I thought I'd just get back to the topic at hand (what am I thinking?). I haven't renewed my membership yet because I'm unsure whether to get another armchair one or one with a few games attached. I'd like to get along to a few more games this year. That being said, I haven't really given it that much thought. Can we really expect membership numbers to be that high so early in the year, though? Also, wasn't there a surge in membership numbers around the time Joe quit last year?

I agree in that membership numbers won't be that high this early in the year, saying that I still think we could have done better considering last year's stats and the fact that this is an even year!
Madboy you should defenetly go to more game this year, whatever membership you decide to get is fine just as long as you buy one and come along to support the guys.... (and meet us of course  )

When it comes to membership numbers, I don't think people really pay that much attention to the 'odd/even year' thing. It seems to me that more people buy memberships based on the previous year's result.

I'll definitely be renewing my membership. My reason for getting it in the first place (wanting to support my club) certainly hasn't changed. It's possible, however, that I won't be getting one until the Home and Away Season starts.

I'm just looking at the membership details on the Dees website. I notice they've got something called a "Concession" membership. How does one qualify for a Concession membership? Could I get one by being a student, or is it for people under the age of 18 or something? I could probably afford the Adult 11 membership, but I'd prefer to save a few bucks if I can.

Well, my sister just told me that you can get a Doggies Concession Membership by being a student. So hopefully the same thing applies to Demons' Memberships. I'll look into it next week (I'm fired up now).

Or maybe its an abbreviation. Like when "If you drink, then drive, you're a bloody idiot" got shortened to "Drink, Drive, Bloody Idiot".
Maybe it's a shortened version of "I am a proud and passionate member of the mighty Melbourne Football Club, long may they reign."

What would you have used?

I am proud to be Melbourne of course I am but the slogan is just silly.
I don't know what I would have said.... but thats why you hire people to do it for you..... they are either too stingy to do that, or they are working with a very bad company.

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!
(I think that is how it goes!)

Another stupid thing I do is click "Back" when I've made a mistake. It doesn't work. It means I post the same thing twice! D'OH!
