Hi all, just wondering about the future of Perty. Heard he may be the next Pie president. Any truth in this ? I didn't think Ed was about to abdicate soon. Maybe he has no choice with his busy schedule. Maybe Lonie_From_50 can answer this.

Ed might pull the pin at the end of the year, but I hope he goes on.

Yes, its true. But Pert said he has a young family so he may not take the job.

Ed will have to give it the flick at the end of the year. He's basically said as much.

Perty will probably be a good option, as he'd bring his networking experience from Austereo. Swann's kind of our boss a the minute anyway, and Ed not being El Presidente, will not stop him from providing sponsorship leads.

About the most important thing Pert or any prospective Pres will have to do, is make crucial descisions at the right time. For example, if Malthouse slips into stupidity again and starts recruiting Josh Woodens, or trades down first rounders, then he must demonstrate that he has the gonads to dismiss him, or any others who exhibit sub-par performance. Steering clear of insane ideas such as Magpie Land will also be a prrequisite.

FIGJAM, if MM does that AGAIN then it's already too late.

Thanks for the feedback guys. You'd be in safe hands with Perty as your boss. Not quite the profile as Ed, but still a pretty good one nevertheless.

Talking about Collingwood's president's, it was fascinating to watch the Headliner's special on Foxfooty tonight. It featured the McDonald era.
