Watson may certainly have boosted his chances for a call-up to the Australian side by helping rout Queensland with figures of 6-32.
While his domestic records are OK without being exceptional, but if ever the Australian selectors were going to take a punt on a young player this would be the time.
& he took 5 more wickets in the 2nd innings.
He won't get picked because he's not from NSW.

Fly him up to the GABBA quick!! He may have something against Queensland which could be useful. ;);)

Actually I think he is from NSW. Went to Tassie seeking an opportunity.

He's from QLD.
Watson is a deadset monty for the 2003 World Cup squad. A few more domestic 1-day and 4-day games as experience for Watson, and he'll get his call-up, and that spastic Harvey will be given the flick.
