Out: Morrison, Yakka, Rowe, Wakelin (inj?)
In: Swan, Holland, R.Shaw (?? - has he been travelling well enough??), Richards ?

Rationale:
Throw T.Cloke in the back line to cover Wakelin
Move Richards into the ruck to let fraser move up into the forward line
Swan to be a running backman to cover the dropped (forever) Morrison
R.Shaw to jump on a wing to take rowes spot
Holland in the middle to move Yakka back to the 2's

Would love to see Pendles play on the ball this week, but i think he and sparky will be used sparingly off the bench.

Out Morrison, Rowe, Iacobucci, Wakelin
In R. Shaw, Swan, Holland, O'Brien

Thomas may not play.

Cloke could get omitted for Richards.

10 says Swan & Holland won't be back. And Wakelin unlikely.

I can't see Morrison being dropped.

I think R. Shaw & Richards (if fit) for Yakka & Wakelin will be the likely change.

I'm going to be there, so na na na na na to those who aren't!

Thomas may not play.
Where'd you hear that?

Just an afterthought, he will play, but Malthouse wasn't overly happy with Thomas's performance after the Melbourne loss.

We had five midfield options with less than 60 games between them. That's bad!

Why single out a sub-10 gamer??

Eitherway, Daisy can stay in by default. Hopefully Rhyce is fit.

Looks like O'Brien will be in. Rhyce Shaw as well.

Swan wont be back till Richmond game.

Not sure on Holland, had assumed he would be right but 10 suggest otherwise?

Richards and Cam Cloke would be a chance as would Davies.

What is wakes injury ? (edit , still having problems with hip I hear)

Outs would be Morrison, Yakka, Rowe and Wakes?

SEN reported Swan, Wakes and Brodie all doubtful after today's training.

Did anyone go? Reports?

Too tough to call this week with a number of injuries and the two week break.

My best guess is

In Richards O'Brien R Shaw
Out Wakelin Thomas Iaccabuci/Rowe

Either Yakka or Rowe will get another chance. Thomas needs a run in the seconds, in fact his week "rest" was a mistake by the club and he shoudl have simply been dropped to Willy to freshen up rather than being sent home to Drouin.

I'd like to see Morrison out, but the only ready replacement for him is probably Jason Cloke.

I would rather a young guy given a chance than see Morrison ever play for collingwood again..

hell Give JA or DS a go...

They are not ready. Nor is Egan who is another young defensive option. Due to injuries to Wakelin and Maxwell and Caracella, Morrison may stay by default.

I know they are not ready... im just clinging to the hope that that useless sack of crud would never play for collingwood again.

Our backline is looking a little shakey if morrison is in by default.

Yes it is, but thats not only Morrison's fault. If Hall Walker and Jason Cloke were any good, we might have some depth back there.

I went.

Swan trained lightly with Brent Hall beforehand. He looked proppy at times.
Very much in doubt.

Wakelin trained with the main group for the whole hour and a half. He trained moderately strongly.

Holland was absent.

Achillies strain. I'm pretty sure he had this at the start of the year as well.

The Collingwood selectors have made two changes for Saturday night's clash with Sydney at Telstra Stadium, including Rhyce Shaw and Harry O'Brien for Adam Iacobucci and Julian Rowe, both of whom have been dropped.

Shaw returns after missing the Queen's Birthday clash against Melbourne with illness, while O'Brien, who's been reinstated to the senior list from the rookie list, will be playing his first match for the Magpies since round seven.

Josh Fraser, who has been under a fitness cloud and failed to join in the club's main training session on Wednesday, has been named in the ruck for the Magpies.

Rowe, Jason Cloke and Chris Egan are the Collingwood emergencies.

Bout time some of you lay off Chad. Doing a very solid job in the backline. How did his opponent go tonight?

Agreed especially with Johnson coming off. This is why he is a better option than rushing Swan or Holland back or giving Rowe or Yakka a go. He can do a job in the midfield or the backline. He is more likely to bounce back from a poor game than a youngster.

is this christmas? two sensible posts. Morrison is a much better player than Rowe or Yakka at the moment, he is on our list, why not play him :)

Collingwood coaching staff > most people who don't think morrison should be playing.

Not that there's many games to compare it with, but I thought last night's game was one of his better games for Collingwood.

Showed calmness and poise most times when he got the ball!

I was thinking as such there in the second quarter and literally when I did he kicked out on the full!

There was more good in his game last night than there was bad!
