Spent some this week up in Warburton and although it is a lovely place i couldn't imagine playing footy there. fcuk it's a cold place. i watched the boys train last night and there was about 15 or so on the track. No bloody wonder. It was about -2. I must hand it to the lads who were out on the track. they were brave.

I must say there tends to be a noticable drop off in attendance at footy training during the colder periods of the year. Especially on a tuesday night.

At least thats likely to keep you warm. Nothing worse than having to stand around and listen to your coach talk for 10 - 15 minutes between drills.

even training in melbourne last night it took me 20 minutes to get feeling in my feet. my hands were numb all night, stretching on the fence was unbearable.

I can remember playing in Mt Beauty as a 15 year old in conditions that were freezing, started to snow, horizontal wind, worst game I have been in. Also Myrtleford in the middle of Winter is pretty cold!
