Walshy still ahead of Wakes?

Must have been that one exceptional game against Collingwood.

Umm, Macca I counted 18 votes for Thommo! This was after adjusting PPWA's votes for him from 2 down to 1 because she awarded votes to four young guns not 3.

I also counted one vote for Chaplin.

Still no votes for Symes though.

Thommo is breathing down his neck. :thumbsu:

Thommo is a frontrunner, he only gets votes when we're thrashing sides. Symes is the cream that rises to the top when you need him to.

:D

Pffft he was part of the engine room that generated that good win. Clearances my friend, check his impressive stats.

Oh wait, I'm sorry! You mean he was first to the ball. :thumbsu:

If you're implying that setting other teammates up with the ball is good play, you'll be pleased to know that Brad Symes is 12th in the league for handballs per game.

Now there's an impressive stat.

Yes I've seen that from him a few times in recent weeks. To his credit he often makes up for his lapses.

He's a good young player but the younger man that I'm backing is now starting to get the attention he deserves.

Do remember that those are the weighted votes I put up, not the raw votes, and that the weighted votes for the Young Gun award equals 50. Thomson did get 18 raw votes (weighted down to 9) and Chaplin did get 1 vote (weighted down to 0.49 - rounded down to 0)

I'll have to go back to check your methodology. :o

From memory all the votes are added up and then weighted to total 100. Mainly due to the fact you have a different number of voters for every game, so they are weighted to 100 so that each game counts the same in the final tally.
