Might be going to this one. Be good to see a few like Lonergan in person.

Anyone know why Hocking's not playing btw?
Hopefully Richard Cole can have an extended injury-free run

How many are we allowed to play?
Just the 12?
Pretty certain this is the TV game for those interested.

It's changed this year, but I can't remember exactly how it works.
It may only be against stand alone sides you can only play 12. I'll look it up.

The VFL will also cap the number of AFL senior-listed players at 12 when affiliated VFL clubs such as Sandringham (Melbourne) or Williamstown (Collingwood) take on non-affiliated clubs such as Frankston and Port Melbourne.

So we can play as many as we want this week. Last year you could play as many AFL listed players as you liked for the whole H&A season, but only 12 in finals. This season, in any game against a non-affiliated side you can only play 12. Which wasn't the case last year.

Thanks for that Longy, looking forward to our guys hopefully having a win. If they don't you really gotta wonder about some of the players on our list.

Sandringham and by looking at there team they have 10-12 AFL listed and imo ours are of higher quality.

We lost by 29 points, Lee, Jolley, Campo Dyson our best.
If Lee doesnt play next week i'll go ape he played a terrific game and had 0 goals kicked on him for the match and we probably would of won had O'Keefe not had 9 goals kicked on him.
I only saw 10 minutes of the match and i swear i saw Lee take about 6 marks. Was playing on Sautner at the time. I gather that Sautner kicked all his goals in the first half?

kicked 6 on O'Keefe before Leee was moved on to him.
There were a few positives today, few albeit, although the one that stands out is Lee. He deserves to play out the rest of the season in the seniors.
Despite adversity (and we were comprehensively beaten across the ground in the final quarter n a half..) he held his own, never gave up his ground n provided SOME resistance against a far superior side.
Id be looking at another 10 players at least...to be turned over at season's end, Carts is finished as an AFL footballer n we still dont have enough at Bendigo to turn our fortunes around. It pains me to say that some of our past heroes (fave sons, whatever...) dont deserve to wear the red n black next season.
Liked the look of Rosa by the way...got some grunt about him at stoppages

Random thoughts from being there today:
Dyson was fantastic. Love his kicking for goal, because you just know he'll nail it.
Lee looks ready to play seniors.
Lonergan was pretty impressive early on.
Jolley was solid.
Nash set up quite a few scoring shots with some great disposal.
Cole showed something in the 2nd half.
Campo was pretty good.
Once again this game showed up Bendigos biggest weakness and that is the lack of 4 or 5 quality VFL listed players. Last year we got by because Richards , Watson and Hunt filled that role for most of the season and Jordy and JB played well, this year Jordy isnt going as well and JB cant get a kick.
As for the Essendon listed players i was very happy with most.
Dyson was great , Campo very good , Jolley very good, Lee fantastic ,Cole improved as the game went on ,Lonergan put in another good performance.
Lucy was good.
only saw the 2nd half;
but what i saw of Cole was great, pleanty of run, backed himself
camp was very very solid
dyson, played well in patches
Can see what all the hype about ryder is, he looked good, gets in and gets the ball, which is rare for a ruckman.
cartlege's ruck work looked good also
