I know that this may be a few weeks off, but does anyone know if the Reds will be having any practice matches, and if so, where and when will they be? Also, which club will the Reds come up against?

Hi Play On,
According to Benjy, the new president at the Reds, the practice match schedule looks like this at this stage:
- Saturday 9th March - unconfirmed possibly intraclub, Brunswick St Oval
- Sunday 17th March - Prahran AFC, Brunswick St Oval
- Saturday 23rd March - Old Ivanhoe, Brunswick St Oval
- Saturday 30th March - Salesian, Brunswick St Oval
The matches may not be at BSO due to cricket finals, as soon as venues are confirmed I will let you know.
Cheers,
Fitzroy Ramone

Oh yeah, we were told that, weren't we.
Lets see if the Reds can maintain that great practice match record they had last year ... did they actually lose a praccie game?
If not, how many straight wins would that make it?

Thanks mate. I will have to try and make it to a game or two, if they are played at BSO.

Hi Play On,
Please note that the BSO is out of business in March due to cricket finals. As such, these four games will now be played at the Fitzroy Reds former home ground at Ramsden Street, Clifton Hill.
If you look it up in the Melways, you'll see it's a relatively easy ground to get to.
Cheers,

I can't seem to find the Melways. Can you tell me the name of the ground, and if it is close to the Clifton Hill train station?
Whichever side you get off head toward the railway gates and head on down past Julian Knights place on the corner at the gates. And walk on down towards Kew if you get your feet wet your've gone to far.
Kev I might get there for the 9th then maybe go to Colonial to watch Nth and Collingwood I think it's on that day, nothing in the papers over here about it yet though.
Kev why not meet at the Royal in Spensley Street Clifton Hill if your going, it is directly down from the Station.

As Pee Wee Herman once demonstrated, you have to blow your own horn sometimes ;)
