Who is your favourite overseas cricket commentator to listen to??
For me, I voted for Hasha Boglay as he is entertaining and also understands the game a lot & is easy to listen to.
Henry Blowfeld is always great fun to listen to, although some of the things he says are a bit inaccurate, he is very entertaining!!

Geoff Boycott!! Anyone who can call Nicky Boje the 'buffet bowler' (help yourself) on SA television is a champ.
He also described the Indian left armer Zaheer Khan as bowling like a 15 year old girl.

I've always loved Blowfeld, I know he's a bit pompous etc, but he is a real character.
Harsha's up there, Boycott is good too....and it's not a West Indies tour without Tony Cozier!

Yes, Harsha Bogle is superb, he showed admirable restraint last season putting up with that dill Dean Jones.
A new one on the scene is former Indian opener Navjot "Crazy eyes" Sidhu. He's causing quite a scene other there with some wacko comments;
In the midst of a verbal duel with Martin Crowe:
"Wickets are like wives - you never know which way they will turn! "
"The Sri Lankan score is running like an Indian taxi meter."
swap him for Tubs I reckon...
Arlott was the best ever.
I like Botham and Boycott
I enjoy Holding
I hate Smeth and his spenners wecket

David Gower is an excellent commentator, no bias or carry on.

Henry Blofield's always good fun to listen to, so I'd have to vote for him. Also Peter Roebuck and Hasha Boglay are very informative.

As and Englishman Ithe best 'overseas' commentator is Richie.
One of the best ever in any sport, only the legendary John Arlott edges him out in cricket.
On the rest of the current crop.
Agnew is excellent. He knows his subject, can speak from experience and is informative and unbiased (either way). The same, without the playing experience, can be said of Harsha Bogle. Ian Smith does the Tests over here and is generally pretty sound. Bill Lawry's 'intensity' can be amusing but too much is annoying. I love Holding's relaxed attitude, it sounds like like he's sipping rum and smoking a joint half the time. Henry Blofeld is good fun (insert "gin and tonic" and "lardy" in the Holding options). Boycott is just annoying (I could have played that with a broomstick style of commentary is very dull). Gower is ok and Botham has improved a lot, he's great when he gets the hump about something.
There was a great interchange with Boycott and Gower a few years back.
England were playing the West Indies. On the last morning England were going for runs and treating the West Indian bowling with more than usual disdain. Hooper comes on to bowl and the Yorkshireman starts off.
"Ee shouldn't be bowling. Ee's a lollipop bowler" has gone on for a few overs when one of the batsman smashes a long hop to the boundary.
"Roobish" bellows Geoffrey "My Grandmoother could play this."
Gower (who has been winding him up) replies "Good player was she Geoff?".
The retort comes back "Good enough for 'im!"

I picked Michael Holding, because his voice as Inside Sport described it as "....it was dripping in molasses".
But, I also enjoy Hasha Boglay, Geoffrey Boycott, and Tony Cozier.
