England 'fail to execute plans'

England all-rounder Paul Collingwood says the players are failing to carry out instructions in the correct manner as they stumble from defeat to defeat.
In one-day internationals, England have won just four of their last 17 matches - and one of those was against Ireland.
Collingwood wrote in his BBC Sport column: "We've got our plans. They're probably the right plans but as players we haven't executed them right."
England are 3-0 down against Sri Lanka with two matches to come this week.

Sri Lanka began the series ranked sixth in the world, one place ahead of England.
They are certain to stretch their gap over their hosts, and England could even drop down to eighth at the end of the five matches, ahead of just Zimbabwe, Bangladesh and Kenya.

Asked whether Tom Moody's tactics as Sri Lanka coach had been superior to Duncan Fletcher's handling of England, Collingwood jumped to the defence of the England coach.
"I disagree with that," he said.
"If we've been out-thought by Sri Lanka it's in the execution of the plans rather than the plans themselves.

We just have to put it right because it's not good enough
Paul Collingwood
"I hold my hand up - I'm making 30s and I should be seeing the team through. That's my role in the side.
"And there are bowlers there who would say they have a holding role and they're giving them four balls."
Collingwood was particularly disheartened by the team's performance on Saturday at the Riverside.
There, England hit 261-7 batting first, only to see Sri Lanka knock off the runs in the 43rd over, losing just two wickets.
Collingwood said: "I would say England are 15 to 20% down on all aspects of the game, for whatever reason, and we just have to put it right because it's not good enough.
"We don't want to go down 5-0."

MANCHESTER, England (AFP) - England have called up batsman Vikram Solanki for the final two matches of their one-day series with Sri Lanka as cover for Kevin Pietersen and Paul Collingwood, who are both struggling with injuries.
South Africa-born batsman Pietersen sustained a left knee injury during the second match of the five-game NatWest Series at The Oval last week and aggravated the same problem when hit while batting during Sri Lanka's crushing eight-wicket win at the Riverside on Saturday.
Meanwhile Durham all-rounder Collingwood has a left thigh injury.
Both he and Pietersen will have their fitness re-assessed later this week ahead of the concluding matches of the series at Old Trafford here Wednesday and Headingley on Saturday.
The duo join a growing England injury list which currently sees the team without regular captain Michael Vaughan (knee), all-rounder Andrew Flintoff (ankle), left-arm spinner Ashley Giles (hip) and pace bowlers Simon Jones (knee) and James Anderson (back).
Sri Lanka already have an unbeatable 3-0 lead in the series after a trio of conclusive victories which extended England's poor recent record in one-day internationals to eight defeats in their last 10 matches.
Solanki, who variously played as an opening batsman and a 'supersub' during the course of his stop-start one-day international career, was omitted from England's original squad for this series - a move that surprised Sri Lanka coach Tom Moody, previously in charge of Worcestershire, the 30-year-old right-hander's county.
But Solanki was one of several players dropped following England's 5-1 one-day series reverse in India earlier this year.
In 49 limited overs internationals India-born Solanki has scored 1,043 runs at 26.07 with a best of 106.
