yep - its on again !

This looks like developing into an annual tradition, given the links between Essendon and North Sydney Bombers these days, and the fact that this fixture drew 12,500 to the small North Sydney Ground with nil publicity last year.

This year its on again, and it will be the one and only practice match for the Swans (*breathes sigh of relief*)before the Pre-season comp starts in Canberra on the 17th.

If you are going - please book 'coz this year the word is out and it will be a sellout.

I hope to be going - who else is ?

Perhaps we can meet up for an Beer or something before hand ?

I hope to see all the usual Swans guys there, and of course it would be grouse to catch up with some of the Sydney-based Essendon people too (SydneyBomber ?)

try and make it - should be a great day and an excellent way to welcome the footy back for '02

Tix are on sale now, so get in quick.
I've already got mine, I'll be there. It's a funny venue for footy, with the fig tree branching out over the goal, but it's got a great atmosphere.
And for pre-match drinkies, the best place to go would be Percy's, which is just across the road from the ground on Miller St.
Hopefully we'll get some fine weather this time, although it always seems to rain whenever Essendon plays up here. And there should be a good crowd in.

Wouldn't miss it for the world.
Me and the rest of the Sydney based Essendon hooligans will be there cheering on the battle of the geriatrics (Lockett Vs Salmon:D ).
I think there'll be about 30 of us (dons & swans alike) enjoying some 'close up' footy, and dodge the figtree goal action.

Last year was great fun, hopefully we can repeat it this year (although hopefully we'll win this one;) )

Where are tix available prior to the match?

Is this game being shown live on Fox Footy Channel?

I heard is was, and then it wasn't - what's going on?:confused:

i think that channel 10 is going to be using the game to tune up their commentary team...maybe they might broadcast it

I just got home and saw an ad on Fox Footy Channel that said they will be showing it, but I don't know if its live.

By the way, they will be playing for the Fox Footy Cup:p

I'll be at the Nth Sydney Hotel from about 2:00/2:30 'warming up', and then moving to the ground about 3:30.
