The only positive thing to come out of this season so far.....lol.

You need to catch some sanfl games.

He might have been sandbagging a bit to stay in Adelaide.

a lots been said about gibbs/gumbleton etc as our first pick, but any thoughts on who we'd want for our other picks?
We need a big, strong key position backman to back up whoever takes Fletchers spot in a year or 2. We need to think not only next year but the following couple of seasons as well. I think Andrew Lee looked the goods the other night, but we need someone else also.

from the games i saw, gumbleton would fit this type of player. problem is we also need a couple of young midfielders. good thing about gumbleton is that he looks like he could play at either end of the ground, has a great contested grab.
This is a [B]LOOSE list of my current Top 50- 3 Rounds of Draft. It will change MARKEDLY due to injuries, form and 17 year olds developing rapidly.
I have watched all Nat champs, I watch 2 TAC cup games a week and catch odd SAFL game. I am sure I have missed a player here and there and this is not a definitive list- it may share some knowledge with others though.
First Round
Gumbleton, Gibbs, Hansen, Sellar, Leuenberger, Thorp, Riewoldt, Selwood, M Brown, Everitt, Grigg, Jetta, N Brown, Hislop, Mckenzie, Scmidt, Collard, Proud
Second Round
Obrien, Moss, Hurley, Colbung, Gourdis, Reid, Benjamin, Hawkesley, L Thomas, Eddy, Prismall, Dawes, Houli, Hampson, Renouf, Connors.
Third Round
Vasilevski, Ryan, Petterd, Armitage, B Colbert, Hawkins F/S-DOH, Anderson, Riemers, Weekes, Adams, Jacobs, J Allen, Putt, Mackay, Morton, Crozier.
If my ratings are anywhere near accurate and we come last. Essendon would draft Gumbleton at Number 1. Gumbleton is an outstanding KP prospect. He reminds me a little of N Reiwoldt at the same age. The alternative to this selection is Bryce Gibbs- a SLIGHTLY one paced gun midfielder or Lachlan Hansen- an athletic tall who looks to be a natural long term CHB. Our next two picks would garner quality midfielders in Collard and OBrien. Collard is very quick, great vision, breaks lines while OBrien is a strong hard MF/HBF who loves a contest. These players may go earlier or later other players I reckon who would be in this region are Moss- smallish clever midfielder, accumulates a lot of footy, Shawn Colbung- exciting midfielder, vision and disposal strong, Tom Hurley see Garry Moss, Clint Benjamin-outstanding pace, great size, I have a query over his ability to consistently hit targets. I would love to get Tom Hislop who is a hard at it flanker/ob but I think he will be gone by mid first round- Collingwood supposedly keen! Third round Matthew Vasilevski- smart, unusual running style but fairly quick, good mark for size. I believe Gumbleton at one is the way to go also I dont see any A1 kp players slipping to 20- maybe Everitt, McKenzie or a Brown twin. I think the First round of this draft is Extremely strong, 2nd and 3rd rounds are also stronger than in previous few drafts. I have heard a few little tidbits such as we are very keen on Benjamin, Coll- Hislop, Crows- Schmidt, Haw- Leuenberger but you hear a lot of crap when you know a handful of people, I cant imagine the amount of crap that flies around if you are deeply involved in footy. I hope I have given a bit of info and these rankings are STRICTLY my own and the word to remember when looking at u/18 players in july is SUBJECTIVITY.
