Had been looking forward to this Eagles and Bulldogs game all year.

Apparently the Bulldogs where going to take on the Eagles with the same style of play, hard, running, high scoring, attacking style of footy. And does the scoreline reflect this? Hell no... all we end up seeing is a dirty ****ing flood by the bulldogs.

Worsfold kept sticking to the same style of football.. hard man on man, because he aint willing to stoop so low as bring in dirty ****ing flooding.

**** the flood.. bring back old school footy.

No... i couldnt care less by how many points we lost... the point is, this was going to be one of the games of the year, a good old school game of football, but all we see is a dirty game of flooding.

Bulldogs got the 4 points and thats all that counts. I'm sure if West Coast won like that you wouldn't be on here BIIITCHIN

What is the aim of the game? To win or to look good?

True but how many times do you see an empty forward 50 in the Eagles line?

I suppose i was just looking for a good old school game of footy.

Yeah.. but the AFL did bring in rules that were supposed to stop flooding.

Then blame the AFL, not the Bulldogs.

Which is fair enough. I don't think there is a fan out there that enjoys seeing their team employ those tactics, however if it gets you the 4 points then you have got to be happy. Agreed???

I thought it was a great game of football to watch. The only time I noticed a full flood was in the last quarter. But I watched it on TV. I felt they attacked at the right time and slowed the game down at the right time which is probably the reason why they held on.

Last 5 minutes of the third quarter, you know when you idiots were booing us for chipping it around our backline because the Eagles had moved everyone outside of their forward 50 so we didn't actually have anyone forward to be able to kick to. Thats just one example straight off the top of my head.

To think people say Collingwood supporters are one eyed.

Well if there was flooding (I didnt see the game) then Worsfold should have done something to overcome it, just doing nothing wont achieve anything so well done to the Dogs they sound like they deserved the win.

Your coach talked all week about stretching our lack of height. How else would we combat that, on a perfect day for football, 22 degrees, sunny, no wind to speak of.
Good on Eade. I dont want to see it every week, but when we are up against a talented side, do anything that will result in a win :)

Also the fact that Worsfold didnt (or couldnt) change to beat it, on one of the toughest grounds in the league to flood (see wide open spaces, perfect conditions etc) as an eagles fan, i would start getting used to seeing opposition teams use it more often

At the game and agree seeing one half of the field empty was ugly, but credit where its due, Bulldogs employed tactics to beat the Eagles and were clearly the better side on the day. Well done to the Bulldogs would love to see them have some finals sucess for West, Johnson and Grants sake.

If the Eagles can't win it would be happy to see Bulldogs take out the flag, although at this point don't see anyone that can match Adelaide.
