Hey!
I am a Victorian Port member and live in Melbourne. I am wanting to go to the Showdown later in the year in round 21. I see that they go on sale on August 15. Just wanted to ask what sort of chance there is of getting them. Are there certain priority levels as it is a Port home game? Do they sell out quick at all? If I am a member will I need to get general admission? Thanks

Can't recall when tickets go on sale but I'm guessing a few weeks in advance. Not sure what the situation would be with priorities.
To find out, I think your best bet would be to ring the club on 08 8447 4044. The staff are generally very helpful.
Edit:- Actually this is interesting! When you go to the AFL page for ticketing arrangements there's a complete absence of Football Park info for both Port and the Crows. Every other ground and fixture is there!

That's a bit weird isn't it?

That's a bit weird isn't it?That's because tickets for AAMI Stadium are sold through BASS where as tickets for all other AFL venues are sold thru' either TicketMaster or TicketTek. The AFL must have some deal with these latter two that it doesn't have with BASS.
For info on tickets for the next Showdown go to this link (http://www.bass.net.au/events/port11.php) on the BASS website.

Im pretty sure there is some deal for our interstate members like a priority, as said contact the PAFC, even still contact the Victorian operations.
* Do not wait until tickets go on sale as crows season ticket holders have 2 days priority and there will be very few if any left for general sale.
Contact the Victorian Supporters Club. Nigel will have all the info on gaining tickets for our interstate supporters and members.

Looking at that BASS site, can anyone explain why our tickets are more expensive than those for the Crows games at AAMI?
Comparing the games of Port/Crows V Collingwood for example
Standard Terrace Cost
Port Game $30.00
Crows $23.00
So in money terms, our crowd for 30,000 would fund the club the equivently of 39,130 Crows supporters at one of their games.

Simply because our season tickets are cheaper and we also need to factor in for the budget/family area behind the goals something which the crows dont have.
