Lets hope that ROO finds his way into the AA team and make it his 9th selection and join an elite group of five that have been AA 9 or more times

I reckon he might miss out this year.
There are no players who have been All Australian nine times. None.
It's a work of fiction created by a ridiculous double count of the VFL team of the year and the All Australian sides of the '80s.

I think Roo will get squeezed out this year as Stiffy says. Wont be in midfield, and whilst a good forward, they probably wont find a spot for him.
just maybe

If he kicks 70-odd, he'll be there.

He won't kick 70..... 55-60 for me.

It would be pushing it, having him in there just to give him this record. Next year however is another story, a likely return to the midfield (hopefully) and the chance to destroy every team all over again.

Honestly not a snowdrops chance in hell of making the AA team.!

I reckon he'll make it and be named captain again. Doesn't necessarily deserve it but lesser players have made it largely on reputation alone.

Will depend entirely on the next couple of months. Historically, form in the second half of the season weighs heavily on AA selection.

I agree.
If the team was picked at the moment he would probably just miss out, but if he has a strong 2nd half of a season, he could make the AA team.

I think that he will definitely make the AA team this year. Will be in the forward line most probably, but may be named on the bench. Actually, he could even be named in the midfield, as he has played there for 80%+ of his career, and players aren't always named in the positions that they played in during the season. I see Roo occupying a similar position to what Russell Robertson did last year, either on The half forward flank or in the pocket.

Dont think he will be selected this year.
Rutten, Johncock, Goodwin and Edwards would be our best chances for AA selection.

Agree with the 4 you mentioned Marty but I would also add Andrew Mcleod
He is almost a lay down mazaire to be selected on a half back flank this year. (Up to round 14 anyway)

yep staring in the last few games has got plenty of players in AA side.
